Subject: Dates of WH40K games

So, on the penny arcade forums, there is someone who is making a chronological timeline of all video games. Basically, any game story that can be placed within a year on our terrestrial year system is on there. Before you laugh and scoff at the foolhardiness of such a move, he's got most of it done already.
So, I decided to help. I was wondering what would be the dates of each wh40k game? Seeing how pretty much all of them have been integrated into the official fluff, they should have dates. If you know any, could you please post them here? Thanks.

How does this work when a game has multiple release dates across various regions?
Is the first region a game was released in simply used for the release date?
Recall that in ye olde timey days of gaming that worlwide releases were rare and sometimes it took a year or more for a game to release in NA or EUR after the original Japanese release.

You misunderstand.
It's the chronology of the actual game itself. So the year applied to a WH40k game would be 39,998 or something. Metal Gear Solid 3 is 1964.
It isn't about release dates.
Also, gamefaqs has nothing. So any help is appreciated. If you have any of the novels, or if the rulebook of codices give any acknowledgement, it would be appreciated. I've only got the IG codex.

This is a much clearer explanation.
Also, a silly project.

I actually don't think so.
Good luck in finding the dates though. I'm sure you'll find nothing specific relating to most of the 40K games unless any events that occur in them are referenced in other texts [ WD, maybe a black library title, etc]

That is the thing though. He'd probably accept any of the references, and a few of the games have their own novels.
But I suppose this is a hopeless endevour.

Most novels don't bother with an exact date.
