Wolf? your using SW so its from the SM codex you get standard transport of 12 and terminators count as 2 models its simple maths 4x2+4 = 12 so yes they can

The wolf lord is in terminator armor as well. So 5 terminators and 4 of the fenrision wolves so does that make it over capacity?

Buy the space marine codex and learn to count.

5x2+4=14, which is over the transport capacity of 12.

taking up the mission

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

So you're saying if he takes on unit in a drop pod the whole army must deploy with drop pods?

Yeah, and can only take Infantry models (including ICs), Dreadnoughts, and Land Speeders. I'm not sure exactly how Land Speeders would work but I think they would have to deep strike too.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Actually this may not be right. In the FAQ it says you use the SM codex for the drop pod rules, but you are limited to which units may drop pod as per the original rules in the SW codex. However, SM codex drop pods do not have the rule that says if you drop one, you have to drop them all.

As the FAQ overrides the SW drop pod rules except where it specifically says that it doesn't (the who can use them), I'd say that the all or nothing is lost.

This is just my interpretation of the rules however. SW also get the drop pod assault rules as they are specifically mentioned in the drop pod listing.

since when does faq override codex? The faq is just GW house rules. Now Errata's on the other hand are rule fixes.

Drop Pods: Use the rules for Drop Pods in
Codex: Space Marines. Follow the Codex: Space
Wolves list of models that can utilize Drop Pods.

lord I'll be glad when space wolves get there up date ... No other codex need a master codex and an FAQ to be use able. Still any Space marine model in Power or Terminator armour, Space Marine Scouts, Dreadnoughts and Land Speeders does not include dogs So they can't get on board the drop pod.

Since, well, forever. GW have always been using their FAQs to answer rules questions on how the codex is supposed to work. GW doesn't release errata, only FAQs. If you show up with a ruling in an offical GW FAQ, your opponent is being a monster TFG if they don't concede to its ruling.

I'm with Jayden. It's not clear whether the whole army has to deploy in pods or not. Most people and tournies have accepted that drop pods are now just a Transport option, like a Rhino, for certain units.

I think it's fine to drop part of a SW army. It's not fine to have too many models in said pod. The Fenrisian Wolves take up a transport space, that is clear. There is a clear statement than Wolves are allowed to ride in a transport. So, while they're not listed as a model that can ride in a Drop Pod, I think it's fine to include them, since they're purchased by an IC and have rules for riding in a transport.

Actually, GW 'FAQs' contain two sections, Errata, which has the same authority as the main rules, and FAQs which do not.

GW Website wrote:What's the difference between Errata and FAQs?
As it is rather obvious from their name, these documents include two separate elements - the Errata and the FAQs. In case you were wondering, 'Errata' is a posh (Latin!) way to say 'Errors', and 'FAQs' stands for 'Frequently Asked Questions'. It is important to understand the distinction between the two, because they are very different.
(...)
The Errata have the same level of 'authority' as the main rules, as they effectively modify the published material.
(...)
The FAQs on the other hand are very much 'soft' material. They deal with more of a grey area, where often there is no right and wrong answer - in a way, they are our own 'Studio House Rules'.

Most people play SW with pods just as people play them in the Sm codex. most dont deploy all the army in pods.

So the transport capacity for a SW Drop Pod is 12 models not 10?

No. This thread is over a year old. At the time the SW used the SM codex to get their vehicles.
