Hey guys I'm looking for some more projects to do in my spare time and thought it might be fun to build some planetstrike terrain. So I'm curious if anyone had any ideas for some necron themed pieces (including a bastion)? Also i'm looking to make an imperial fortress (or try at least) and was thinking those blue electrical conduit boxes might be a good start for the walls / buildings. Any ideas for that? Would that work for a base? What would you add? Just looking for some project ideas. Thanks.

and some large plastic boxes for buildings

I'd think of the tombs as having the Monolith in them somewhere and it lifting up out of the tomb itself when they are awakened.

I found a picture of a WIP tomb as well. Not the same as the idea I mentioned before, but it looks good.

Thruthfully, I thought a Mono would make a great bastion for Necrons. 4 guns already, and point to embark/disembark. Could convert the top to hold your Necrons. The Particle Whip can act as the "Las Cannon" To me it really is perfect for Necrons.

I'd also do some force pylons from this Hirst Set and potentiall set them for "counts as" Aegis Defense line. Essentially 2 pylons with "energy" inbetween. There are a few strategems for pylons as well.

There is some good Armorcast stuff too.

My opinion - the game IS called PlanetStrike, so essentially anything that screams SPACE would be great. Space stations, Rockets, Orbital Radar (Lidar?) would be best.

For the design, you could look at Dark Crusade's Necron buildings.

You can take ideas from history itself. Egyptian buildings arey necron-ish.
