First up is my Tau. Inspired by a board mate over at ATT: The EVA-00 Head ready for casting

Also some comments on my Color scheme. This is just blocked without any shading or highlights

Yes, and now I have to redo 12 guys with pulse rifles instead of carbines. Joy

I like where the Tau colorscheme is going. Cant wait for it to get some highlights and shading to make it really pop.

If your going for the Evangelion theme on the battlesuit, how about writing "Rei" on the suit somewhere in the Tau language!

Anyway, I love the scheme for your Tau and your Cryx look awesome! Good work

First up is the completed color scheme on a fire warrior. Please ignore the shiney spot on the rifle, I was goign to place a decal there (still might) and was prepping the surface

Side shot of the shoulder guard. It's a little more time consuming than slapping one color on and going, but I like it. I also put a gloss on the tau emblem, I like that it pops out. Once I varnish them I'll go back and reapply the gloss

Just a gun drone, nothing all too special here. Main point is that I didnt want those divits stuck in his head because I didnt use the anntenna so I filled them in with a little color. Not sure if I like it

These are just some assorted bases I have prepped for casting for my crisis suits and broadsides. I already have a mold of infantry bases made

Those Fire Warriors look great! I have no clue why you thought you may have ruined them.

I'm assuming those modeled bases you have there are for Crisis Suits, so lets start seeing some roll off the assembly line!

pfft, thanks to your gunline suggestions I have at LEAST 28 more firewarriors to paint.

The drybrush on the guns and black cloth looked way harsher, I toned it down with a black wash.

I'm thinking about glossing the armor plates and keeping the cloth black. That would definatly make the model have a lot of texture without adding complicated paterns.

Alright here' s my Shas'O. I'd pretty much worked on him all weekend, and I believe he's coming along nicely.

Please ignore the crappy AFP conversion, my buddy is getting me an actual one. The paint on him right now is a lightly coated primer for showing me inperfections. I have a LOT of work left and this is probably the most complex conversion I've done to date (even with a guide!) I need to probably remove a couple of pieces and go to town with some filler and 1000 grit sandpaper. Oh..the joy

Anyway enjoy, any comments are welcome

Looks good dude. Just make sure to paint a bonding knife on him when your done modeling him. Hehe.

Manstein reminded me. I pulled this little number while working on this little guy, I seriously bled everywhere. 12 years in modeling and painting and I was trying to make a cut that I knew damn well better than to make with a knife. Too much force, bad angle, fingers in the way, and whack!

Anyway a quick recap:

Me: "I shouldn't be cutting like this"
Wife: "Then stop before you hurt yourself"
*Knife slips*
*Dash to kitchen to avoid bleeding copious amounts on our carpet*
Me: "It doesn't look too bad, it just really hurts"
*RN wife comes to the sink and looks at it, then proceeds to pull flapping skin back*
Wife: "That's pretty bad"
Me: "Oh... "

Looked a lot worse then than it does now two days later:

That will make a nice scar and an opportunity for a good 'war story' round the gaming table!

I found the fact that you cut yourself while making your Shas'O an excellent way to represent your Commander taking the Bonding Knife upgrade. No longer are gamers relegated to simply painting knives on their battle suits, they too can become blood brothers with their models.

So quick update!

I got in my Kotobukya MSG packs yesterday, for those that don't know these are detail enhancing kits for gundam/Macross/Armored Core models. In a nut shell they can bulk out or fill in a particular bare spot without having to dig through your bitz boxes trying to find that one little piece.

Here are my two broadsides, please keep in mind I'm working off of someone elses initial build of these things so I'm basically having to break everything and rebuild it.

First up is a Shas. He has the Eva-00 head, unfortunately I was in a rush to construct my mould and did a really bad job on it so it'll be getting remoulded and recast to make a better image.

Here is just a regular suit with minor mods, he has a regular head but (new cast pending) will be getting changed.

I think the shield on the gun is a little much.

Here are two Valkyries I'm working on for a friend.

Here's a WIP of the current one, no weathering, no TL Lascannons, etc....

And here is a completed one, the only thing missing is a little color and weathering on the lascannons.

I'm surprised that Broadside is actually standing up. Surely those railguns overbalance it?

Very nice work. I'm jealous of your painting skills, your converting skills, and the scar you're now going to impress all the chicks with.

It's only got like 1/2 a lbs of lead fishing weights counter balencing it

and thank you

The Braodsides are definitely unique. To so different models on the board is always a refreshing breath of air and I'm glad your setting aside some time to do so. I'm likin them vendettas also.... .

Now, finish the bonded Shas'O! I want to see him!

quick update, got the base color on my Shas'O and managed to get everything filed and filled. I did notice some seam lines on the missle pods so I'll have to get those removed.

Also working on my broadsides still, I didnt really care for the guy posted above with the one handed railgun shot.

Quick update over the weekend. I've gotten my devilfish for the Pathfinders put together and basecoated as well as two broadsides cleaned up from the glue blobbing nightmare that was their former construction.

At this point I am done with my Shas'O, only for now. I have around 1700 more points to paint in the next two weeks or I will have to sit out of our next tourney and I put at least 2 hours into paint and decaling without doing any highlights. He'll eventually be my center piece

sorry about the pic quality

That Valykrie Camo scheme is very impressive, I like it alot. Hand painted with a brush or masked with a template/ masking tape?

Great weathering too!

Homemade stencil printed out on half page labels. Cut out with an xacto knife and layered.

Thanks for the compliments, they truely are what keeps a painter inspired.

Quick update:

Two more broadsides positioned and ready for paint. These are pretty much a copy of a design I found on CMON, I am running low on time so I didn't do anything original.

comments and critique always appreciated!
