Hey, East Coasters...

Anyone have any idea what the gaming scene is like in Pittsburgh? There's a chance I may have to move out there for a few months for work, and I'm trying to figure out if it's worth bringing a couple of armies to help me kill time.

Thanks in advance!

There is a massive gaming scene in Pittsburgh. Multiple clubs (Pittsburgh Iron Legion and others) plus one of the best games stores in the country - Legions Hobbies and Games. The store carries everything you could imagine, has a massive gaming area, and is awesome! It is a great place for gaming!

Sounds great. Anything on the south side of Pittsburgh? Does Bridgeville ring a bell? I'll be close to there.

Seconded on Bridgeville, I live in Weirton WV but I hang out at Bridgeville a lot, closest FLGS is about....15 minutes away from there on Brooklike Blvd. What's around there?

Well Bridgeville is probably a half hour away from Legions, the giant store that was mentioned earlier, I live half way between the two and didn't know there was one down the other way.

Geekadrome is the one I mentioned on Brookline, it's a bit on the small side, deals in a lot of things other than 40K as well, doesn't have a huge specialization, friendly little place. Have to check out Legions.

Legion is the place to go. They have a huge gaming area and the place is fairly full of 40K and Fantasy players most Friday nights. People there other nights also but Friday seems to generally have the best turn out. Snake Eyes Gaming, www.snakeyesgaming.blogspot.com, runs events there along with some other organizers. Our next tournament at Legions will be December 4th with GW prize support. We have a 40K Campaign starting in the Spring. The last 40K Campaign at Legions had 29 players at its height. There are constantly events going on , like the upcoming Orktoberfest. The Geekadrome is also a nice store with a good crowd. They have very limited playing space and Saturday is usually there 40K day. Most of the Geekadrome guys come to Legions on Friday nights. Kirasu also hangs out at Legions. Stop by because we can always use more players.
