Am I the only one tired of hearing how great a CSM Lash list is?With the semi-final round for Ard-boyz on the 8th it is all I see being written about. That and the Vulcan Scythes on wheels list.Having seen both of these lists I realise they are both one trick ponies.

You're forgetting the Mech Vet guard or Eldar jetbike council. Every army has its one trick ponies, you just gotta deal with them.

But yes, I'm sick of hearing about them. I really hate it when fluff is utterly thrown out the window. I know fluff and rules will never coexist, but come on.

I did not forget about them unfortunetly.I was just hoping to not open up a bigger can of worms than I already did.I do deal with them very well actually. When you fire in excess of 15 heavy weapons at your opponents army they tend to realise they made a mistake.

While ive never played with lash, it is hardly a one trick pony. All the units that people generally select - obliterators, zerkers, plagues, termicide (and ofcourse the prince) - are all extremely versatile units. The CSM codex, though not fun, does have high versatility.

Its an all comers list. You can make slightly better lists for fighting specific armies, but the list has amazing balance and is pretty devastating.

Its hard to argue with a power that has such great versatility; win kill points by strategic clustering out of cover, win objectives by knocking units away from them at critical points, there is no mission it lacks use for.

Its a shame I hate it utterly, from a game play perspective.
