Consider this situation. I'm playing a game using tyranids, and my gaunt brood has the 'Without Number' rule. All my Gaunts get shot up, so next turn I bring them back on again, and charge them forward.
Unfortunately, they get shot up again, so I go to bring them back on again. My opponent says, "Hey, what are you doing?"
So here's the rub: The rule basically states: "If the brood is wiped out, they may be brought back on".
Can you only bring them on once, or can you bring them on as many times as they get wiped out?
I've wondered this for a while.

I'd put a quote here, but XKCD would have a better one. |

As many times as you like - the new brood is identical so it also has WoN.
If not it would be called "With Twice the Number" or some such.
Also note, it is optional, if KP or whatnot is an issue.

You dont need to print button mate
*Show them your army list*
Direct them to the tyranid codex, p40 (gaunt profile section) heading; Without Number. 4th line.
*Show them your army list again*
N.b:If you bring the word 'Armaments' into contention, then simply tell them to shush. It means 'all the awesome biomorphs and weapon-symbiotes that you bought with your gaunts' i.e upgrades.

It's called With out Number. Not 'Limited to two units of number' Just kidding They can come back every time they die until the game ends.

Remember:
Every time the unit is killed its a KP for your opponent.
do the math... you may end up giving your opponent 10 KP in gaunt squads alone ... I did.. =P

I had one brood of gaunts appear on the table 7 times in one game (of 6 turns - I went second).
They held the objective on my side after that, too.

I suppose it's not a rule you want to use in a game involving KPs! Pretty handy for objective grabbing though, as you say. All down to the dice!
Cheers for the explanation!

It's normally the "done thing" to have an 8-12 sized brood holding an objective in your deployment zone. If they die in KP games just don't bring them back. In objective games they are invaluable.

You should remember, bringing them back is *optional*.
