Ork Codex regarding Mob Rule:
Mob Rule pyschic test is maxxed at 10?
Mob rule v Pinning test ? This has been the latest debate from the weekend endeavors.
In Response to just pinning tests:
Pinning test before or after the Morale check (in this instance a morale was required)?
Psychic Powers:
Is their a time they can only be used? Such as a Wierd boy has to use it during his move phase or shooting or assault? Being completely random on powers does that screw up play order?
Vehicle Mechanics:
Do skimmers provide cover? We know it doesn't block Line of Sight. With this in mind can you ram a valkrie?
Can a skimmer tank avoid being rammed?
Do deffrollas work on other vehicles?
Tau
If they do not have LoS with missles(seekers missles, and the missle pods on crisis suits i believe) can they still fire them at a target?
How high can a jet pack unit go up in a single turn? For example there was a building with a flat top that is 9"inches up. Hard to find ruling on how high a unit with a pack can go.
Chaos Demons
This group really needs an updated Codex. Daemonic Assault(splitting the army in half, appease god, deepstrike) does this happen during deployment or Turn 1?
General
Can you measure your movement before you move during the movement phase to see where you can go? If so does the unit count as moved?
Thanks for any input and comments. I look forward to next week's moments of rule confusion.
-Cheers

"Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds." ~ HK-47 |

Yes, the Ork FAQ confirms this.
Mob rule v Pinning test ? This has been the latest debate from the weekend endeavors.
Mob Rule affects all Leadership, so pinning is affected.
Pinning test before or after the Morale check (in this instance a morale was required)?
I believe pinning tests are done right after the unit has been shot at, while morale checks are done at the end of the shooting phase. I may be wrong here, though.
Is their a time they can only be used? Such as a Wierd boy has to use it during his move phase or shooting or assault? Being completely random on powers does that screw up play order?
It's usually specified in the rules for the ability, although psychic shooting attacks also count as firing a weapon, so they need to be done in the shooting phase unless the rules for the power specifically says differently.
The Weirdboy must roll for his power at the beginning of his shooting phase, as it states in his unit entry.
Do skimmers provide cover? We know it doesn't block Line of Sight. With this in mind can you ram a valkrie?
Skimmers do block line of sight now; you just use how much the actual models are blocking to determine it (if you don't have bases for your skimmers you can probably estimate). A valkyrie can be rammed, but it cannot ram itself.
Can a skimmer tank avoid being rammed?
Yes, all skimmers avoid ramming attacks on a 3+.
Do deffrollas work on other vehicles?
It's a very contentious debate; I'd recommend you discuss it with your opponent before play if you have any.
If they do not have LoS with missles(seekers missles, and the missle pods on crisis suits i believe) can they still fire them at a target?
They can only fire them if the rules for that weapon state that they don't need line of sight; I think some Tau missiles can be fired in that way and others cannot.
How high can a jet pack unit go up in a single turn? For example there was a building with a flat top that is 9"inches up. Hard to find ruling on how high a unit with a pack can go.
I'm not sure on this one. They can ignore as much vertical distance as they want for the purposes of jumping over something, but I'm not sure for when they land on it.
Daemonic Assault(splitting the army in half, appease god, deepstrike) does this happen during deployment or Turn 1?
I'm pretty sure it's done before the game begins, but I may be mistaken on this.
Can you measure your movement before you move during the movement phase to see where you can go? If so does the unit count as moved?
You can measure up to how far the unit can move at least. I don't believe it counts as moving if you decide not to move in this case.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. I apologize for the extensive questions but thank you for the input. Last week was the first time I fielded a weirdboy and it was weird. I frazzled myself..then someone else then myself again finishing off the wierd boy.

Yeah, my weirdboy has problems too... he keeps teleporting me away from combat...
As a side note, if your weirdboy is attached to a squad you don't necessarily have to put the wounds from Eadbanger on him. (He makes everyone else's head explode too.)

Daemonic Assault is determined before the daemon army would come in turn 1, meaning they get to react to an enemy.
Tau Jump Packs let you move 6", which is how far up a building you can move. Any horizontal movement detracts from this so you can move vertically upwards 6" or 3inches across, 3" up, etc.

The Old Zog does not have a model, I just used the normal weird boy cause it fit the part, may make one myself if I can find enough snakes.
Remember to roll for the weird boy power on your shooting phase, so you can effectively move, then port.
Mine has a habit of calling Waaaaghs all freakin game, which mine would port like its supposed to...

"When using jump packs, they can move over all other models and all terrain freely."
And
"Jump infantry models may not end their move on top of other models or impassable terrain, except that they can end their move on top of impassable terrain if it is actually possible to place a model on top of it. If they do that however, they treat the impassable terrain as dangerous terrain."
Jump Infantry, Movement, page 52 in the small book.
I don't have the big book but yeah.. that's under Unit Types.
The rules for Jet PAcks (which Tau have) are in a box on the same page.
The only difference however is they move 6" instead of 12", then 6" again in the assault phase even if they don't assault.
