where ever the army sends me

In a recent apoc game with a buddy of mine I brought a 6 strong baneblade company and a 4 strong baneblade company. The rules state that for each baneblade cannon that hit the same superheavy you get to add one to the super heavy damage chart. so assuming they all hit(precision strike w/coax)and even one penetrates you have a auto chain reaction. Now skipping to the super heavy damage chart it says for chain reaction all modifiers apply as before so now you have an autokill. Now onto the oter question do all battlecannons recieve the bonus or just one?

Also FYI My opponent brought a reaver, 3 warhounds and a baneblade so I wasn't powergaming... well I do hate his reaver, anyways A first turn kill on his reaver angered him to no end.

I would say they all recieve the bonus, as the rules do not say that only one result is modified, they only say its modified by how many shots hit

eg: I fire three shots and two hit. I get to roll twice on the damage table, both with a +2 modifier

So its abouit the "steelfury baneblade company" and its the special rule?

IIRC, it is: after the first " ...damage" every following hit gets a +1.

Doesnt sound like you add the +1 per cannon.

May work:
-shoot target, hit.
-following hits add +1 to their rolls on the damge chart.

Could be wrong, need to find the PDf..again

it clearly states add +1 for each cannon to hit but man does it seem cheesy to lay a battle titan low every turn. But then again when facing chaos i will bring the cheddar the swiss even provolone

OK. I'll try again.

1x hit and roll at the damage table.
Every following hit adds +1 to the first "catastrophic damage" roll.

I may misread there something, but its normally a +1 per following damaging hit. ( added to the first hits roll ).

Example:

- BB 1 hits, penetrates.
- BB 2 misses
- BB 3 hits, penetrates.
- BB 4 hits, penetrates.
- BB 5 misses

=> BB 1 rolls at the damage table with a modifier of +2 , because he has 2 buddies lending a helping cannon.

Should be provided from the OP:

Quote GW's PDF:
Should a shot from any of the Company's Baneblade cannons cause an enemy to roll on the catastrophic damage table, the roll is modified for each of the Company's Baneblade cannons that hit it.

Seems you need only 1 damaging result and some following hits to add a modifier to your first "catastrophic damage roll".

where does it say first. RAW simply states "any penetrating, the roll is modified" well the third penetrating hit is still a hit so where does it read it as well wouldn't get the bonus and my biggest question if I hit with 6 cannons and pen at least one does it instikill any superheavy? Since same modifiers are added on follow up chain reactions as per the super heavy damage table then it means even imperators wouldn't stand a chance

RAW:

Should a shot from any of the Company's Baneblade cannons cause an enemy to roll on the catastrophic damage table,
the roll is modified for each of the Company's Baneblade cannons that hit it.

Its still : when your opponent has to roll for catstrophic damage, then any additional hit gives you +1 to this roll.
Not to every roll. Just this one.

And its possible to ID:

Catastrophic damage table has:

D6=

- 1, 2, 3 = destroyed
- 4, 5 = explosion
- 6 = apoc explosion

You may assume your target dead after any roll on this table
