Holy crap that trailer was awesome. I don't think I have been sucked into a trailer like that since the first Watchmen trailer.

I am really looking forward to this and I think that 2010 is going to be a great year for movies.

Is this a remake or a sequel? Either way, oh wow I can't wait. I found the first movie an interesting romp and I can't wait to see how this'll turn out.

It's going to have pseudo computer babble about hacking the system and trace buster busters but on the other hand mofoing light cycles.

I liked the little details like the background music having that kind of Tron-techno thing. I thought it was pretty cool how the bike looked like a part of the rider.

I believe it was just "Tron". It was the one where you could play the bikes, the tanks. But I also remember having disc battles, where you had to fight the core, kind of like tetris. I could be mixing them both up in my mind. Things like that happen when you get old. :-)

What is an FX test? This is an official teaser for Tron Legacy.

@ahtman: Teaser, test, whatever you want to call it it's not an official "Trailer". Trailer's tend to be more polished, cover multiple aspects of the story, and introduce characters. It's not a montage of the semi-final product.

I'm also going off of what Rottentomatoes.com and yahoo.com referred to it as (which is the VFX Test).

It is official, being released by the Disney and the producers and shown at the Tron Legacy Panel at Comic-con. If you are referring to whether this will be a scene directly from the movie then that is possible as all sorts of things are in teasers and trailers that don't make it into final films. Happens all the time.

Apparently Daft Punk is doing the score for the film.

I for one hope it stays a little bland with a lot of grays like the movie. If it turns into a "speed racer" type visual effects extravaganza...it's won't be "Tron"

Agreed. They better do it right. They are remaking a true groundbreaking classic, and historical icon.
