Hi I am a new 40k player from the lower New York area. I have never played before but have begun my learning of the rules and purchased the black reach set as well as a couple squads on the side. I want to play space marines but i am having a hard time deciding between the crimson fists, awesome back story and pedro is cool, or the Blood Angels, great and alot of unique units with a cool commander in dante. I am trying to decide on which and really appreciate all feedback!

Please tell me which you think and maybe some pros and cons of each or maybe jsut why. I really will appreciate the feedback guys

Choose the "look and fluff" you perfer the most.

And feel free to play them as generic or count as chapter variants if you want to use the other chapter's codice.

Welcome to Dakka! I would make that choice very carefully if I was you. Then again, many people start with something that they turn out not to like and that's just part of the process. If you have questions on the fluff (things that cannot be answered by simply looking at the Lexicanum site) feel free to ask in the 40k Background threads. We also have some pretty good debate there from time to time.

That there is a hard choice. With Crimson fists you get Pedro and sternguard as troops/scoring units. But the Blood Angels are SO KEWL!

thank you all and yes i continue to struggle with the decision. Dante vs Pedro and Vets scoring vs deathcompany/baalpreds etc... Ah the struggle. Keep weighing in!

haha yeah they both have good ones. The dark blue and red is sweet but so is the all red with gold
