For those of you who have played more than a practice game, what is a better combo for a unit of orc boys, a choppa or a shield?

Hand weapon & shield = Peanut butter & jelly....they just go great together. Some people like double jelly and no peanut butter, but after the sugar rush you'd wish you had some peanut butter so go with the shield

2012- stopped caring
Nova Open 2011- Orks 8th Seed---(I see a trend)
Adepticon 2011- Mike H. Orks 8th Seed (This was the WTF list of the Final 16)
Adepticon 2011- Combat Patrol Best General

Well put! I'd concur on the HW & Shield. The big blocks are for combat rez. Damage is getting churned out elsewhere...

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

Choppas go better with another choppa (peanut butter and peanut butter - yum!), and in the case of Blorks another and another and another, bigger one.

Orks enjoy 'itting fings!

Why must I always choose beween certain death and probable death.

In ur gaem, killin ur doodz.

Take more than one unit and have your cake and eat it too!

I'd say for every 3 units go 2 HW/Sh units and one Choppa unit.

Variety is the spice of life

PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME.

If you were playing against dwarves then I'd go the extra choppa as you will be getting the charges off.

Otherwise you are slow, average stat infantry and need all the survivability you can find... go the choppa and shield combo.

Agreed, Choppa and Shield Boyz hold the line, whilst something with more Choppy potential (i.e. Black Orcs) have all the fun.
