Ok so I thought it was time to see where this guy I play will fall under inthe gamers world, asshat, normal, or TFG.

So the story goes, I'm playing my Kroot mercs, which he had agreed to play against allowing the modified codex from the KK forum, and luckily I had got the first turn which meant with his bad deployment, (good time to mention he is playing marines) I would be able to assault him in my turn, if all went well. All my carnivore squad shapers had Eviscerators, which were represented by Tau hammer like things, and 1 obvious eviscerator, which were all pointed out to him before the game.

And i procreed moving running, and being able to assault just in the first turn, where he, my opponent started to get aggraated at the fact I could get into combat so quickly and saying how BS it was, So we proceeded, and i managed to take a few marines out with my Eviscerators, and yep, thisset him off again shouting and raving at why it is impossible for kroot to get such things, then another squad had also managed to get into combat with his Veneable dread, which eveidently was destroyed, in combat by the eviscerator again, which again sparked him off.

Basically every time something bad happended he got extremely aggrivated because of him getting no saves and so on.

So what do you think of this gamer? Asshat? normal? or just TFG

Uhhh, hmm yes, I'll just go fiddling through my paper work It's somewhere...

Oh well i can't find it but, it was along the lines of, 3 16 man kroot cornivore squads each with a shaper holding an eviscerator, all with Hyperactive Nymone gene,
(I forget how it is spelled)

And 1 10 man hunter squad,

Aaand, A kroot hound squad with 9 hounds, and, 9 kroot with shaper, with evisc, oh and a master shaper with evisc

All with the Fast reflex gene, apart form those that could not take it.

Thats what i can remember from it, all 3 carnivores were on the field first. and my master shaper, hounds, were held in reserve.

I would also like to amend my last post, He got the first turn, and moved his men towards mine, and his dread taking out a few form one squad, with the assault cannon.

I had forgotten about his first move, and some nice shootingfrom his dread by all means.

And a few random shots he got off from his other units.

Well, the codex is basically all the rules released by gamesworkshop, for the Kroot mercenaries, but slighty tweeked to make it fair in the world of the 5th edition, which it is. I can link you if you like ?

I'd be interested to see this codex as well.

Well, it just sounds like Bad Loser Syndrome. He has no two legs to stand on, he agreed to let you play this codex, he could just have said no. If he doesn't like what he got himself in for, then shucks, his problem.

I think you might be bordering on TFG by coercing him into playing against a Fandex that he probably new nothing about, and then you brutally raped his whole army on turn one while you laughed! "GOTCHA!"

So...maybe if he were familiar with the army and you guys had a rematch he would act a little different.

Actually I lost , and he was well informed of the codex, becuse i had been showing him it in the previous weeks,

See the idea with the mercs is to cause as much damage as possible in the first turn to make them run and hopefully take the adantage, but it turned into a endurance match, and i can tell you Kroot do not do well. I had lost pretty much all my troops by the scond turn almost

http://z8.invisionfree.com/KompletelyKroot/index.php?showuser=19 Click on the kroot mercenary codex in green and that should take you to the most recent edition.

I think - hes just really shocked - because when people think of kroot - they dont think of eviscerator smashing ;P

I'm not going to give a judgement.

I think you should offer to play him again and see what he does the second time.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Well if you let him know about the codex and all that jive, and he was fine with playing still, then its on him. Theres really alot that could of been misinterpreted. I agree with killkrazy, offer to play again and see what happens. Besides if he won, and was still being a jerk about it, hes a jerk lol

After seeing Kroot Mercs get tabled at least 5 times, I can't imagine any way to complain about them.

Wait... he was shouting and raving? Was he really shouting? Or was he just being loud? If he is just a loud guy then w/e, but it sounds like he was being an AssHat for sure.

Don't get me wrong I get pissed a bit when a strange rule catches me off guard, but they are KROOT MERCS FFS!!!

"Note"
I blame GW .

I think that if he knew about it, had seen it, and knew what he was getting into, then proceeded to bitch about it....; yep, he's a bit of a TFG, or was on that day. However, a lot of competitive gamers Do get that label.

Sounds like he plays Marines to always get saves in CC, and to just outlast an opponent on the field. Dying quickly to power weapon-like effects is completely against how he thinks the game should go.

I have seen it more than once. They are usually TFG.

Haha, yeah I think he plasy marines for their high saves, and their ability to sit in themiddle outlasting everything almost.

Ahh well. I'll offer him another match sometime and see how he reacts .

And he was pretty much shouting.

I played a guy using my necrons against his kroot squad. Was pretty boring since he just assaulted first turn most of my necrons. He got all butthurt though when his higher I character killed a wraith, since his models werent in base to base contact his other guys couldnt attack my two other wraiths. He got all flustered and tried in vain to find some rule saying that wasnt allowed (this was in 4th edition, dunno about now)

In 5th edition I think he would actually be right.

There are a few situations where you would remove a specific model, but they are mostly involved with IC's.

You HAVE to remove the models in the back so the assault can continue, as if the stuff in the back is moving to the front of the assault to take the dead's place.

This is completely unrelated (but who cares). Played troopie wolves versus kroot mercs. By agreement we each shot one weapon only then CHARGE! (including my dread). Much hilarity and one of the most humorous, if tactically light, games of my playing career.
