Mine are on my shelves, though only because I can't bear to store them in that dark, dank carry case.

Eventually I will have to relegate some though. Either that are start buying more shelves.

I had to go with other since you can't select multiple choices. I use a Sabol case, Plano multi sompartment trays and store some stuff on a shelf for display. It depends on the model being stored as to how it gets stored.

I store mine (for now) in a big, blue, plastic box... more like a tub. It's very disorganized and not very efficient... but it works.

I use a combination of items; right tool for the job and all that. I have some GW cases, some Sabol Army Transports and I also use a lot of Plano 1404 accessory cases for large models.

I can fit two Baneblades or two Brass Scorpions or a Tower of Skulls or five Leman Russ tanks, etc. in a single Plano case and those cost as little as about $11 each in the right store. It's a great, economical option for a few larger models.

I store absolutely everything in custom designed cases that I manufacture myself (i.e. old foam from old trays glued to cardboard boxes that have slots for every individual miniature).

I keep mine in a Tool box. Vehicles and Battlesuits in the bottom, infantry on the top. I need to get something better to store them in without spending a fortune however.

Display cabinets. I put enough time into painting them, I want them to be on display!

I tend to game at my own place anyways, so it's easy just to pull them off the shelf of the display cases and put them back (easier than putting them into the Sabol foam).

I used to have mine on a set of shelves, but now there is not enough room for that within my new home, so I have them stored in boxes and tins stacked inside another giant box.

I've got a bunch of different storage.

Tool box for my ACW army.

Plastic section boxes for my Inca and Roman 15mm armies.

Cardboard boxes for my 6mm Napoleonic army and my Battletech models.

Various 3rd party foam lined briefcases for my 28mm role-playing and 40K figures.

Various 3rd party foam lined small boxes and cases for my 1/3000 naval fleets.

I don't have enough finished tanks to worry about storage yet.

I also have plenty of unfinished figures in various parts bins and so on.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

Assembled/painted figs I stick in padded cases, mostly some double layer pistol cases I got at walmart years ago for around 5$ each. Theyre about the size of a reg GW case and work fine.

I just got a Sabol case that will be nice for playing at stores or freinds places since I can store units as squads and cram my books/dice into one bag. I call it my giant 40k purse.

Unpainted/unassembled figs, of which I have legion, are stored by race in boxes on shelves in my 40k room. My larger armies generally have one large box, and the bitz intensive armies like SM, CSM and Orks also have a couple of large divided cases for bits (2 for sm, 3 for CSM, 2 for orks, 1 for IG). I also have a box thats just full of misc vehicle bitz and parts left over from other models.
