DH codex page 8. see right side bottom Daemonic Infestation.

I have looked all over the rule book for 5th ed to find the sustained attack scenario special rule. I know that this rule was in 4th ed rule book but we are now in the 5th ed rule book. Could somebody please show me if they know the location.

The main question is that if the rule is no longer in the rule book, then the Daemonic Infestation would be void under RAW.

By RAW it doesn't exist anymore, on the other hand by RAW most of the daemons in the daemon codex aren't subject to any of the anti daemon stuff in the DH codex due to the definitions of daemons in there.

So what your saying is that its on this page and or no longer in the rule book at all?

Also I understand that some of the things in the codex have become void because of V5.

Anybody else able to chim in,,,

Daemonic Infestation is void under RAW, however if you really want to go RAW heavy then hardly any daemons from C:CD actually count as daemons - this is because the DH book specifically lists the unit types that count

Sustained assault is no longer in the V5 Rulebook.

For those without access to a copy of the 4th ED

"Sustained Attack
Occasionally, the enemy will have overwhelming superiority in numbers, with wave upon wave of foes hurling themselves forward. To represent the size of an attack like this, the player making the sustained Attack can 'recycle' some of his units when they are destroyed. Recycled units are brought back into play to represent the almost limitless supply or reinforcements.

Any attacking Troop unit (ie, Troop choises on the FOC) that is wiped out may move on from the attacking players own board edge or either of the short table edges outside of the enemy deployment zone. They move on at the beginning of the attackers next turn.

Units of troop which are forced to fall back and reduces to less than 50% strength in models can be removed from the table immediately and reused as if they had been wiped out in their owners next full player turn. They do not have to fall back off the table first.

Destroyed vehicles and HQ units cannot be recycled. Note that this includes transport vehicles for troops units."

Thanks all for the feedback and yes I understand that the DH codex is almost out dated via the 5th ed rule book.
