Hey guys. I need some help painting my Fire Dragons. I can never get a solid Golden Yellow on his Helmet. It either has little marks from the Paintbrush (Some sort of lines) or the yellow looks all watery. Help?!?!?!?

All Types of Commisions available. PM me for more details.

What are you trying to paint the yellow over? If it is black use a brown as a base coat then use the yellow.

In the first case it sounds like your paint is too thick. In the second it sounds like you just need more coats. Bright colors like yellow and orange may need more thin coats due to the relatively smaller amount of pigment.

Have patience and don't be afraid of multiple thin coats.

Ok, I actually used this method on my own fire dragon exarch.

The first layer needs to be bronzed flesh.
Then paint one layer of golden yellow over it!

It's as simple as that!

Check out the picture from this link to see my fire dragon as an example: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/34520-.html

Cheers,

Jack.

This is insanity at it's finest.

Other way around. You want the darker bronzed flesh base to build off of to get to the yellow.
