I'm in the process of building my scratch built titan,I planned it to be around 29" tall. I'm trying to make it look like a lucius pattern emperor titan (similar to the one's I see on these forums here). Though I want to make sure my warlord is flexible on the weapons load out.
Specifically I wanted to be able to say make the two top turrets removable to 'transform' it into a warlord titan for example. Thus I want to know which weapons the titans are similar so I can make the top turrets like them. Right now I made the two forward turrets missile launchers (apocalypse missiles? doomstrike?)
Is this plan at all possible? or should I just simply make a imperator titan? The reason I want it to 'transform' between a warlord and an imperator is that the titan's power should still make the game playable and not simply. Oh I got first turn, no need for second, I WIN!

@corpsesarefun: As there is an ongoing debate on the sizes, and people are defintely making their own measurements. I found these estimated sizes 'playable' for tabletop titans:

warlord: 23"-29.5" (depending on if you go off of 40 or 45 meters)
emperor: 35.7"-39.7"

Basing on these,I'd say the emperor is 'only' between 6" to 16.7" inch larger than a warlord (with 16.7" the maximum). Also on these sizes the emperor is twice as large as a reaver titan which is around 16" to 19.5".

Of course I have also seen people making a 5' to 6' titan, though I'd doubt if it will still be practical.
In my post I was asking about the similar weapons the titans share, thanks anyways for the inputs.

@The Dreadnote:

Thank you very much for the helpful input.

However, as seeing how building even a single 'huge' titan is very time consuming,I'd rather try to solve how to make four removable turrets and two removable arms

According to some fluff, there exist a very rare and special titan, called a psi-titan. So in that spirit,I'm planning to build a titan-sized psycannon to wrap up my titan project. I know it's not in the books, but a psycannon would look cool I think.

It is purely fluff as far as i can tell, psi-titans are not yet in any imperial armor books. This idea also serves to inspire my titan project (because I love the idea of psycannons on a titan scale!--imagine the daemons that baby would wipe out in one go, hehe), anyways here's a forum thread discussing the psi-titans concept (sorry if I have to plug an outside forum thread on this):

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Can I declare a imperator's hellstorm cannon to 'count as' an warlord's gatling blaster? Since at some pictures of a warlord on it's right arm I see a 'hellstorm' like gatling weapon.

This is in the plans of my 'transformable' warlord titan. If this is at all possible, then at least I don't have to make the right arm removable or I don't have to think of another weapon to make incase I transition between the titan types at least for the right arm.

nice advice on the psycannon, i am thinkin where to put it actually, hehehe. Thanks!

simply putting it into one of the carapace slots is great idea! i'd simply declare it as quake or volcano. Of course it's much cooler thinking it's a psycannon. Since my idea of a fluff story for my titan, is that it's the long lost titan, dedicated to Grey knights, buried aeons ago where the first pure STC's were formed. Only to be awaken, when finally the chaos gods themselves march and humanity's defenders needed a great anti-daemon weapon!

Thanks also for the encouragement,i'd certainly post pictures, when I finish the fortress module at least (got to make four weapons removable, that would at least reduce the size footprint to an acceptable warlord)

I'm imagining mine as manned by grey knights (or boarded by terminators on it's legs). Think of a titan sized holocaust! cool stuff!

That's the fun thing bout the warhammer 40K universe, very cool concepts of superweapons! for example the ordinatus cannon (found at Mechanicum --one of the horus heresy books,if i'm not mistaken the 6th one?). Planning to build that too, along with my very first scratch built fortress, for a terrain project.

Still working on my titan project, before I get distracted too much, heheh
