Hello All
Just joined this forum to help my son and I get answers to the various 40k playing, modelling and painting questions we have.
I started collecting Epic Space marines back in 1989, but I have been playing miniature and board war games since the 1960's (Donald Featherstone's books on wargames and Avalon-Hill board games), so I'm what some call a "grognard", others just "an old dude".
My first love was and remains Epic 40k/Armageddon, and I have a pretty extensive collection of Ork, Imperial Guard and of course Space Marines too..but it seems that gaming system and Dirtside have fallen into disfavor over the years!
I enjoy 40k game too and have a reasonable collection of Orks (especially rogue trader era) and Space Marine ( ditto) and my son has a smallish Imperial Guard army that grows as we find the $$'s to augment.
I'd hope to find some kindred spirits out there perhaps in the greater Chicagoland area who are "family" gamers and look forward to contributing if and when I can to the overall forum.
