Been having fits with the high humidity trying to get some priming done on my FOW. Been getting bad results with GW, Armoury, even Tamiya. Tried this Dupli-Color Sandable Primer (purchase from Auto Zone) on the recomendation of a buddy of mine. I've known for quite some time that it gives great results and at 5 bucks a can is very easy on the wallet. However, I discovered it also seems to be invulnerable to the high humidity issues that plague so many other modeling sprays we use. I was on the porch before a rain storm, during the rain, etc... and this stuff sprayed just dandy.

Just thought I would drop this in the pool here for you dakka. Enjoy.

Been usin it off and on for a couple years. The off is more when I fall back on old habits or try something new. Or airbrush. But just realized that it is so good in humid conditions. I was suprised.

This all came about with me primin a FOW army and the whole thing fuzzed. No one to blame but my self; didn't run a pre-check and didn't check my work as I was going. primed about 30 stands of Russians before the big Oh feth! Stripped it all and re-assembled, then tried DUplicolor. One shot, man. Cheap, too.

I'm kicking myself for not having tried it sooner.

Wish I knew, m'fren, but you might be able to find a comperable product over there in ol blighty. It's a spray can based primer that is used for automobiles, sold in car parts stores.

Great thing to know considering how often it's been raining down here.

Yup, duplicolor is great. I've never had issues priming outside in the rainy Vancouver seasons and they make a red primer that works well for Blood Angels too!

My only issue with that product is that it goes on a bit thick, and not completely smooth. Its for the automotive market, it goes on thick as its intended to be sanded smooth as a base for an automotive (high gloss, super smooth) paint job.

Whats my game?
Warmachine (Cygnar)
10/15mm mecha
Song of Blades & Heroes
Blackwater Gulch
X wing
Open to other games too

Just picked up a can at autozone. I live in Florida where humidity is extremely high. This is my first time using a spray can primer(I always just brush on chaos black from the pot). Hope to get great results like you guys.
