I certainly appreciate your feelings on this matter - but 'troll' or not people are quite accurate when they note that GW very much soft sells their FAQs (let's be honest, GW soft sells their rules, but that's another complaint at the organization). On the very page they have their FAQ they refer to it as glorified 'house rules' and, to be honest, the only time the FAQ truly gains any legitimacy is when a tournament declares it is using the FAQ.

Please don't get me wrong, I personally believe they should have a FAQ that has legitimate rulings upon it (in fact, to be honest, I can't think of a game company other then GW who doesn't use their FAQs to offer legitimate game rulings) but GW has gone out of their way to wimpify their FAQ to the point that any 'troll' or even regular gamer has a quite legitimate point if they wish to disregard anything said within them.
