In my last game a question came up. I though that a model with a shield got a further +1 to Sv when attacking from front.
EX. a model with Light armor (6+) and a shield (+1 more) would get a 5+ base. They are then charged from front. What would their final armor save be (before modified from S).

I thought that i read that in the book. Could someone answer and post a page #.

P. 54-57 Fighting with hand weapon and shield.

Base armor is light + shield = 5+

It only becomes 4+ if you chose to use hand weapon and shield and not something
like Spear and shield or morning star and shield for that round.
