I have been molding away today on my newly arrived Slann Priest to turn him into Shaman Stoohkaa, I will be posintg fluff and so on when he's painted and finished.

Would like to know what you think,











I tried my best to replicate features of the kroot physique, and sine this is my first major greennstuffing project I think it has gone very well.

What do you think guys ?

I like it. Great job on the beak. I never really thought of kroot as chubby but you make it look like it goes together with the throne and all. nice job.

The Green stuff needs to be smoothened/filed down a bit, but otherwise great job!!

You should make the throne more "taulike" to make it fit into the 40k universe a bit better.

ACtually, I'm wanting to keep it as it is, mostly. With the fluff im working on atm, he is broken of from the Tau empire as they didnt approve of what he did to appear like this. I'll post up the fluff when I get finished.

I will be filing down the GS after its hardened, I lack the propper tools to do it when it's not solid.

i have to say i love this model. alot.
but im not convinced by the throne. but i do like this take on the kroot

Honestly, That is one of the Best Ideas I have Ever Seen, Reminds me of the Shaman from 10,000 BC.

is this just for modeling purposes, or are you going to use a set of rules for him? If so, what?

Yeah I'm currently refining my rules at the moment, i'll be posting them up along with the fluff.

I like the look of him, looks very good. Makes me think he is a really old Kroot and he looks like that cause his metabolism slowed way down in his age. I'm looking forward to his rules.

The gs work is a little dodgy but shows potential
try smoothing everything over with wetted fingers before it dries and invest in some sculpting tools.

Oh yeah, I am definatly going to invest in sculpting tools when i get the fund,

And I agree the GS work is dodgy, I will be continuing work on it today. And cheers for all the comments and critisisms, theyre really helping.

For cheap sculpting tools look in to pink erasers they need to be new with a new edge cut the one that looks like a /====/ in half lengthwise for better control and the one on a pencil is good to go.

Hmm, I've just had a thought for your fluff.

If you want to keep the throne as it is here's an idea:

Stoohkaa's throne is an anti-gravity device that draws power from the Ethereals. He was exiled because of "insert your ideas here". His throne is his mobility device which he can control by using his mind. Although the Kroot Shaman is still referred to as "primitive" he constantly draws wisdom from the throne (against the knowledge of the Ethereals). He becomes increasingly knowing of the Tau plans to "engulf" the galaxy in the Greater Good.....

You can take it from there...

Hey thats not a bad idea, Well I'm just about to continue work on the model , since I have built one of my 2 valkyries.

I will be writing up some fluff ideas and rules later this evening.

Ok so today i worked some more on the shaman and added a few extra spines, and sorted the forehead and chest out,

The beak will stay rough to give some texture to the model.

Well with the model finished I Painted up his throne first, and here are the results







So what do you think ?
