We all know Ghaz is the killiest ork around. I'm not debating that, but at what sized list is Ghaz not worth his point cost. At 1500 and over I always take Ghaz in my list. Under that IMO a more generic warboss is more cost effective. What is everyone else's opinion?

I generally don't take Ghazzie in lists under 2000 points. I like have tons of models on the table.

I take Ghaz even in 1k points, in low point games he is almost unkillable, and in high points game he can just trade any high point close combat unit by himself.

His waagh is just too good to not use it, he will make your orks to get into close combat faster, unless you play nobbikers.

Due to the amount of give in the ork list there isnt really a cut off point with in reason.
you could still run him in a 500 point game and have enough points left over to get plenty of grotz / boyz.

also, at lower points games he will be alot harder to get rid of.
usually he attracts alot of anti-tank fire to make sure he dies.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Compelling arguments. Thanks guys. I'm gonna try and field him next time I have a low point match to see how it works out.
