Again, from Tabletop Gaming News:

http://www.tabletopgamingnews.com/2009/07/29/28655

The Lion box looks interesting, especially the large creature (The Chimera!). Might be especially useful in as a proxy for something else, maybe something Chaos in WFB?

The Wolfen box looks less so, and the pre-painted Wolfen really don't look that good.

Still, I imagine a touch up/re-paint wouldn't be hard to do...

the metal chimera was one of the last things i bought before the metals dissapeared...
it's a gorgeous mini...

when i saw the lion box, the plastic chimera was the first thing that caught my eye, and i was impressed...
that's a good sign, as the abberations didn't have the same effect at all...

i'm not impressed with any of the plastic wolfen....

the only things that make me want to do some repaints are the AT-43 minis...

thankfully i have a few shoeboxes full of metal Rackham minis to keep me busy for years to come...
so sad to see the metal line die...

the Legends resin line has some nice pieces though...

cheers

The wolves are indeed not pretty. Don't know what a paintjob will do, but I will stick with the metal wulfen for now. (can buy a few more still )

The Lions I don't know. The paint is not great and details are hard to tell (smaller mini's, same size picture...)

Might have to keep a watch on these though. If I see a box somewhere I will check it out and make my final judgement...

Still not doing it for me. Much better than the old grey starter figures though.

I'm anxious to see the Lion's up close.

While I loved the metal miniatures from Rackham, I never have time to paint anymore.

So basically, put boobs on a model and it's "eye catching"?

So that giant Lamia thing with the sword and wings is plastic? Damn, that might be worth picking up for an avatar of faith conversion I was knocking around.

They have some cool resins, though. Some of the AT-43 pre-paints don't look too bad either, but I'm opposed to pre-paints in general.

It'd be cool if most companies could offer you an option, pre-painted plastic or unpainted plastic/metal/whatever.
