Ok, besides Dark elves, who would make good dark eldar?

OK, that Probably was Unclear...
Think Like on How the Skaven were Shown With tau Weapons, I have seen Lizardmen Tau... Who Would be good Dark Eldar?( Giving let's Say an Orc a Helmet and Similar Armor....)

My Local Hobby Shop Doesn't sell Dark Eldar, and I Don't want to buy Eldar Models...
So Who Would Make good Dark Eldar?

I'm on a really low budget and Dark Eldar are Costing too much on ebay from what I saw and I want a Different than Usual DE Army.

I have seen it done with Kroot but it was a awful job and just looked like his bits box got in a fight with his glue and thats what happened
I would say Eldar and Dark Elves
Wood Elves would be a interesting twist

I use Wood Elf bits amongst my Dark Eldar army, and they do look pretty good.

i just say kitbash wood elves, dark elves, dark eldar and some good ol craftworld eldar.

You could always do a "counts as" army, but then you could pretty much do anything ever, so thats something you should come up with on your own.

Another option is just use regular eldar, and use plasticard and vypers to do the raiders. It could be a "fast" good eldar army that uses dark eldar rules?

To be honest I think that the cheapest alternative would be to just buy dark eldar on ebay. You can pick up some eldar for stupid cheap, though, so that's another great option. For warp hounds you could just use chaos hounds or maybe dire wolves. You have a lot of options if you want to kitbash a Talos. You don't have many options when it comes to raiders. There just isn't much out there that looks like a raider. You could also advertise on craigslist that you're looking to buy what you need. You might find some mom who's son left the house years ago and left a box full of crap in their basement.

Ebay DE armies are INCREDIBLY cheap at the moment.

But if you want a 'counts as' race, then I remember a while ago hearinbg a suggestion for Hrud.

Make them with Skaven models, but cut off the noses/faces and hollow out the cowl, then add tentacles.

You could do a really nice shadow-loving Hrud army with lots of Mandrakes or somehting...

I got 50 warriors with a terrible paint job for around 3-4 pounds on ebay a few weeks ago, they were very easy to paint strip and I only used them for arms/guns/bits anyway =].

I'd recommend kit bashing them with eldar/wood elf/dark elf plastics they go together really nicely.

I use Cold One Knights (old ones- their helmets look MUCH more like DE) for Reaver Jetbikes...

New Dire Wolves (just I grinded down their Manes and Painted the Models Red and made veins,tissue, Yellow snake eyes)

Dark Elf Warriors as Warriors. Dark Lances are The Dark Reapers Heavy Weapons.
