Hey Everybody!

I've got some exciting news to share with you all regarding the upcoming So Cal Slaughter, this August 21-23. I am proud to announce we have not 1 but 2 new official sponsors, AVATARS OF WAR and BATTLEFOAM.com.

The first 50 paid attendees (GT) will receive a FREE Avatar of War and the first 70 (GT) will receive a coupon for free shipping on their next order!

Battlefoam.com will be present at the Slaughter again taking orders on their hugely popular and successful custom army transporters. Also, they have generously donated several products for prize support!

Finally, due to popular demand, we have added a Warhammer 40K 2-man team tournament Saturday, 2000 pts total and an 1850 40K RTT on Sunday!

Will there be comp pairings and comp scoring for the 40k team tourney and the 40k RTT?

Please check out my current project blog

Feel free to PM me to talk about your list ideas....

If it's anything like the GT it's a checklist system and the only thing comp will be used for is to set up the matchups. But I could be wrong. Most likely they won't put any comp in as it would take to much extra time and they would need the army lists to early.

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

I might make it out to this.

I have not been to LA in a while and it will be a lot cheaper than BolsCon that I was thinking about going to on the same weekend.

Need to find a partner though.

Contact Mike: Commissioner@SCGWL.com about discount on hotel rates too, he has secured special rates for attendees. Hope to see you guys, there will be lots of beer and an after party Saturday night! I think free drinks the first hour at the hotel lounge!

Mmm, free beer.

Looks like I will be there, too. Anyone need to split a hotel room? Preferably someone who does not snore like a dwarf....

For reference: if you don't mind prepaying for your hotel room (non-refundable), it's cheaper to book through Travelocity or the Embassy Suites website - $119/night (King) or $127/night (double-double), vs. the $139/$149 group rate.
