I am looking to play Dawn of War. Unfortunately I can't find my original cd but I do have my Dark Crusade. I'm wondering if I can buy the original game or the gold pack (original + winter assault) and use my dark crusade cd with that. Will this work somehow or would I have to buy dark crusade on steam as well?

No idea, but you can install and play dark crusade single player mode from the dark crusade CD on its own. You only need the other 2 if you want to play other races in multiplayer.

No, each disc has its own CD key. When you play Dark Crusade or Soulstorm, you have to enter the CD keys from your other discs to play as the other races in multiplayer. I think you might only need one CD key if you got the Gold Pack, the Anthology, or the Platinum Pack, as the games are bundled together.

I got the boxed set with all games in, each disc still has it's own CD key, however you do only need them to play as other races on DC and SS.
