quick question during a planetstrike game. I choose a small table side as my drop zone and basicly it was filled so that nothing could deploy with out being two inches of one of my units. I remeber reading something that nothing could deploy with in two inches of an enemy and was uncertain if my friends killa kan could come in on my edge. we could only find that he could come with in one inch and i let him come in but i'm looking for clarity on deployment.

There is no rule preventing you from being 2" away from an enemy model. 1" is the standard, unless you're assaulting.

As insaniak mentioned, you need 1"+ of clearance between all models with weapon skill (not locked in Assault). Does this also applies to vehicles (without weapon skill specifically)?

Tanks have the excuse of tank shocking their way through a line of models blocking a board edge - assuming you can tank shock onto a table (which shouldn't matter as the table space, unless specifically declared the "entire world", would have more ground outside of the combat zone).

Walkers (with weapon skill) would need to assault in, but if their entire base can't fit onto the table you'd have a problem as a model that isn't entirely on the table (for whatever reason) isn't on the table - just as a unit with models which leave a table edge is considered off the table (entirely as I understand it - so you could run marines off an edge but I believe they can consolidate back onto the edge next controlling player turn).

5.12.2011 - login works. 1747 hours. Signs of account having been accessed by unknown party due to strange content in inbox. Search on forum provides no relevant material towards that end. In place of that a curious opportunity to examine the behavior of cyberstalker infestation has arisen.
