After visiting some friends and bringing along my old 3rd edition Talisman sets, I convinced myself to take a break from painting and modelling Eldar and get to work painting the miniatures from the game. If you've never seen them, these miniatures are classic 90's
GW art; some of them were used in other game sets. Unfortunately, the
FLGS sold my copy of the Dragon's Tower to someone else when it was released and I've not been able to find one since, so the models in that expansion I don't have. My Barbarian has gone walkabout, but he's the only one I've lost. I do have 4 more models to paint: the Ranger, Knight Templar, Swashbuckler, and Chaos Dwarf.
The basing is cork tile, basecoated and drybrushed. The display board is a picture-and-frame, bought from Wallyworld and filled with foam. Painted it with glue, did the sand thing and drybrushed with black and white craft paint in various shades of gray. Pillars courtesy of Wallyworld's wedding cake supply area.
