Hey Dakka, I'm the idiot who wasn't sure which faction to play and compared Warmachine and Hordes to a pet snake a little while back. After weeks of deep thought and meditation, I'm going with the Circle. I think Trolls may not be too far behind for me though, since they've grown on me a lot.
Let me know how terrible this list is. Basically I'm a fluff and painting guy so I don't need the most competitive list ever. I'm going a lot on aesthetics. As long as I don't have something that's a complete and total waste of points in there, I'm okay. However, my limited understanding of the rules so far seems to tell me that this game is not as dependent on list-building as 40k for instance, and is more about tactics, which I like. Let me know if I'm off there. The list is going to be something like this.....
Kaya
Woldwarden
Pureblood Warpwolf
Argus
Druids
Stoneward with Woldstalkers
That's 500 points. I was wondering though if I should do 750 and have epic Kaya, a Satyr, some Gatormen, and something else. What point level are friendly games usually being played at nowadays? Thanks in advance for any advice you guys might have.

A warpwolf would buddy up with Kaya much better than a woldwarden. Particularly with the Pureblood also in the list. The woldwarden animus is great, but you miss out on a lot of her synergies.
That'd give you 8 more points.
Obligatory drop the argus comment (unless you have a cunning plan for it), and you're now at 62 to spend. A gorax would be a good option for tweaking the two warpwolves up, or some support like:
Swamp gobbers
sentry stone & mannikins
shifting stones
for 499 total.
This list would also fit into eKaya's schtick pretty well, mainly: take living warbeasts until you run out of models.

If you're going to field the Pureblood, you should consider a normal Warpwolf.
Moz: I see the Argus in the Kaya list for the Spirit Door. Other options for Spirit Door
include the leaping dude.

Gorax is good, Woldwyrd is good also. Only take a Pureblood if you are taking another Warpwolf.
Druids are good but I find them a squeeze in 500 point games. Perhaps you should swap the Stoneward and Woldstalkers for some combat infantry, Wolves are cheap, even with their attachment.
Kaya only comes in a box with the Warpwolf and two Argus so if you're playing for the Woldwarden perhaps Baldur or Krueger would be more to your tastes, You can always pick up the Argus in MkII if they become good.

Suppose I did go up to 750. Here's how I'm thinking that would look....
Epic Kaya
Woldwarden
Pureblood Warpwolf
Warpwolf
Shadowhorn Satyr
Stoneward with Woldstalkers
Gatormen with 2 extra troops
Sentry Stone
Swamp Gobbers
I assure you I do not have any sort of cunning plan for the Argus. He was just there because he came in the starter box. The Woldwarden is there because he's about my favorite model in the whole game. I figure I can justify him since almost everything else is a furry. I dropped the Druids since they seemed expensive. Perhaps I could drop more troops and add another Warpwolf or a Gorax. That would seem to leave me with a low model count, but perhaps that's just a 40k concern I'm used to.
Out of curiosity, why do I want to pair up regular Warpwolves with Purebloods? What did I miss there? I'm still experimenting so let me know if this is an improvement. It's not set in stone until I've spent the cold hard cash. I mean, spent the money I don't have with a plastic card.

The Pureblood has a number of abilities that affect himself and other Warpwolves (+1 Arm, Reroll hits etc.).
Four heavies may be a bit much, swap out the Shadowhorn Satyr if you must keep the Woldwarden, (although you could drop the Pureblood) for two of the following.
The Woldwyrd has lots of synergy with EKaya as she can cast upkeep spells onto enemies.
The Gorax plays well with lots of living heavies (though use with caution). Warning, awful model!
The Woldwatcher has an awesome animus, although he's a little expensive. Hopefully he'll be cheaper in MKII.
Why not try 350 point games first, I recommend:
Kaya, the Wildborne
Warpwolf
Pureblood Warpwolf
Gorax (or Argus or Woldwyrd)
The above is a very powerful (tooth and claw) 350 point list.

350 would certainly be doable. I think I'm going to use that list actually, with a Woldwyrd instead of a Gorax. You guessed it, I think the model for the Gorax is garbage.
If all goes well I'll add some stuff later to get to 500 or 750. Thanks.
