Follow the link to a Video of a 6000 point game that happened yesterday. (03.08.09)
As suggested in the title it was Eldar & Black Templar vs Crimson Fists & Imperial Guard. Objective based.
The video is the first of it's kind I believe (or hope rather) and as such is a bit sketchy.
Future video's of a similar nature will hopefully be somewhat more interesting to watch and slightly more informative about the game.
The big problem was the amount of beer that was being consumed during the game.
Comments & suggestions welcome!
Keep it friendly though please.
This video is nearly 10 minutes long so you might want to get a cup of Tea etc, etc, before you watch it.
Cheers Dakka!

Christ, you put that on pretty quick.

Having supped the bitter cup of defeat in this battle, I can say that luck seemed more on the IG/SM side, but my eldar and the BT didn't work in tandem as much as we could have, the BT troops and dreadnoughts weren't used agressively enough, so my Eldar ended up fighting alone. 5th turn end would have been a draw, and a 7th turn ending would probably have been one as well, so on those rolls in particular we were unlucky.

Oh yeah, it's only 3000 points mate, you're supposed to put the points of one side, not the total points.

Now I've watched the video (should've done that first) we really need to plan it out, empty the camera memory card, etc. I'm sure everyone will be pretty dissapointed reading a sentence-long summary of the last 3 turns.

Also, I sound like a complete tool. It's like an American imitating a cockney. Also, I remember trying to speak loudly and clearly to get the words on video, and I'm just a lot louder than anyone else.

That's because you ARE the loudest C*** I've ever met! You and Gav are quite the noisy twosome.
The idea of planning it out is obviously needed but when you, Gav & Dan are all mouthing off constantly it makes the filming somewhat difficult....!
I think that the basic idea of the video is a good idea though. Much more interesting than the other video's i have posted. Shame i got too pissed.
I think that a short 30 second summary at the end of each turn would be the best plan.
Also, you must have swore about 300 time on that video.
Not really necessary, but then you are rather foul mouthed.
Also, you do sound like a cockney imitating an American.

I think I'm glad I don't have my sound turned on at work lol.

I take it Sundays game will be 3,000, not 6,000 then lol.
