Hey guys, I was taking necrons into consideration for my next army and after some forum flipping i think i may have settled on an idea for a list. tell me what you think:

40 necrons with a 10 necron phase out

sadly most of the necron options are garbage so it leaves a very specific set of models to use, but i tried to make the best of it here ( I realy wanted to make flayed ones and pharaias work because they are so cool >.< even wraiths for that matter >.&gt

I would drop 5 warriors from each unit to add another unit of 3 destroyers. I would probably drop the lord for more destroyers as well, or give him a destroyer body instead of the phylactery + phase shifter. He'll be much more useful running around with your destroyers than he will be babysitting your warriors. You don't really need a lord though, Big D is plenty of HQ.

At 2k points you may actually want 3 troop choices to capture objectives, so I would do 3 squads of 10x instead of 3 squads of 15x. Also, it's debatable whether you actually need a Necron Lord since you're bringing a C'tan. I would drop the Lord and the Heavy Destroyers to maximize on normal Destroyers. You'll want the full 15 Destroyers at 2k points if you can get'em.

well the common census is more destroyers! I can see dropping the lord and picking up more destroyers with the points but the heavy destroyers? wont I need the heavy AT? especially at 2k?

this gives less warriors more destroyer and a destroyer body to the lord so he can fly around and provide some AT with his warscyth! how does it look?

You need another squad of warriors defintely.

Keep to the first list, your phase out is better, and split the thirty warriors into 3 squads of 10, better with objectives, the lord is perfect although I'm not sure about big D, (I'll let someone else decide), but if you do have another Lord, give him the Veil and Gaze of Flames. And personally, I would drop a Monolith (or something) for three Tomb Spyders. Awesome because they're so understated.
