I have seen both sitting around, and both seem to be good. What are the differences, and is one better then the other, or better for a particular thing like creases or wide tank spots, that kind of thing.

I use both. I like the GW paints, especially the foundations and washes, however some of their regular colors seem a bit transparent and go on streaky unless you dilute it a bit and do 27 coats. I like the Vallejo for the dropper bottles which are great for mixing and they seem to have better coverage than the regular GW paints do, however they also seem a bit more wateryier, so for me they're usually not as good for drybrushing which I do a lot of.

I haven't tried the Privateer P3 paints yet but I hear they're pretty good too.

Vallejo smells a bit minty but doesn't taste like it.

I have used both and they are the same color wise. Vallejo has more color options and the dropper bottle cuts down on waste. GW dries faster in my experience.
