Heyo,
Just a quick hellloooo before I go back to work - >.>. I'm Luke, a complete and utter noob to WH40K. Well, I've been playing DoW and DoW 2 - does that count? Guess not. But yeah, a few of my buddies have convinced me to start this uber expensive endeavor - and I ordered my first box set last Friday from the UK! Woot woot. Chaos Space Marines, here I come.
But yes, I've been reading the Dakka Dakka forums for a few weeks now, and have to say - you guys are pretty awesome.
Whelp, I best get back to it before the junior sets the shop on fire.

I know, right? I was all into Tau - even went out and ordered the battle force, then thought - 'What the hell am I doing? NOBODY likes Tau. Not even for the greater good.' - and well, I canceled that - and looked at doing a Blood Angel army - which are my fav. - but then it hit me - every man and his dog has a SM army. And you know it.
So, it went down to Chaos or Imperial Guard. And I don't want to paint a bazillion models. Eldar are right out, so are Necron and Tyranid. Nobody likes those guys.
And I know. :(

Another Chaos Legion has joined the fight? Good good you have chosen...wisely.
My roommate got into this amazing hobby thanks to the DoW games as well and convinced me to get back into afterwards. DOW is nice to play when you don't have time to set up a "real" 40k game and sometimes you just want to see the blood and carnage of your Berzerkers and Defilers up close neh?
