Subject: wood elf wardancer question

Charging Wild Rider

Hey all. So there is a gladiator event coming up soon and we have to make lord and heros choices.
So anyways I am going to run wood elves. I'm starting them and id like to wow the local crowed with a really well painted mini. At any rate one of the builds Ive been teetering around in my head is this.
Wood elf noble
Wardancer
Great weapon
Amber pendant
Now the only question I have is this. It lists that you cannot tka ea magical weapon unless it is a wardancer weapon. Now the regular great sword is not. Also the shadow dances do not state that you need to have wardancer weapons to use them.
So what do you all think legal or not legal?

I believe taking Wardancer Kindred automatically gives you Wardancer Weapons, negating the ability to take a great weapon.

It gives you them but just like a hand weapon why wouldent you be able to swap them for a great weapon?

They're not a hand weapon. Wardancer weapons replaces the longbow, so it's not like they
get a choice. Nothing under either the Noble entry or the wardancer one allows you to
equip something in addition to the wardancer weapons or in place of them.

No matter what weapons he's equipped with, they will count as "wardancer weapons", and use those rules. Buying him a GW is a waste of points. That said, you can still model him with one. A lot of the old 2nd ed or 3rd ed models actually had GWs.
