And if so, do you include terrain in that count or is that it's own separate thing?

I do. Lol, I have completed four figs, one custom conversion, and no terrain.

I played a few years ago, but never actually collected my own army. I recently purchased a Space Marine army off of a taxi driver (with a not so satisfactory paint job. Brown and green with marijuana leaves on the shoulder pads) and am in the process of repainting them.

I've built 16 guys painted 11 and a half no terrain no custom builds. And yeah, I am new to the hobby.

I keep a rough tally of ones Ive completed.
10 Grots and a Runtherd, 6 Boyz, 5 Nobz, a warboss, a looted Skyray, 7 Space Marines, a Space marine Captain, a Dreadnought, and a single Terminator.
I have far too good of a memory for this kind of 'useless' trivia ><

Anything that takes time to do , i count even if its terrain.

I only have 82 models, about a dozen of them vehicles. Another dozen vehicles and a company of SoB and then I'll be happy.

Never counted, but it's gotta be 500+ at this point. I've been in the hobby for nine years, but I'm pretty focused on what I paint and play, so I would imagine that this is pretty light compared to most people. I generally don't go around buying minis just for the thrill of it: 98% of what I buy is for a current or future army, not for the sheer joy of painting.

I currently have something on the order of 350 gaming pieces (miniatures and vehicles). I've lost around the same over the years (I don't field unpainted models).

I've lost track of precisely how many terrain pieces I've made over the years. I know I've done somewhere on the order of 12-13 tables worth (with the rough 30% proportion).

i have a rough count of the figs i've painted for other people
(70 odd necrons for a guys army, 25 or so khador figs for another guys army, a dozen or so menoth figs for a friend)

as to my own stuff, i don't really keep count, since i've painted things, then stripped them a few years later and painted them again
