I'm thinking of getting a Macharius Vanquisher in a couple of months but I would like clarification on the effect of the new IG codex on it's guns.

I noticed that the Leman Russ vanquisher cannon now only has one mode of fire, the St8 Ap2 Heavy 1, so it no longer has a blast mode - is that right?
If so how does this effect the Macharius as it had a different blast to the Leman Russ, basically a 7" blast instead of the usual large blast.

I'm not overly bothered if it has lost its blast weapon as I would be using it to hunt tanks and MC, but it would be nice if it could still clear hoards.

It would use whatever profile it had in the IA book., unless it says to look in Codex: Imperial Guard, then it would use the new profile.

Mach. Vanquisher uses the profile from the IA:Apoc book and does not reference the IG codex except for vehicle upgrades (which may or may not still exist. HK missile, improved comms, minesweeper, heavy stubber, searchlight and smoke).

As such it can still fire the 7" blast OR the AT shells.
