With all the technolgy in the 40k I wonder if they could make their ships, vehicles, "transform" like the transformer bots? That will sure give the tau quite a scare if they could.
a titan that can "transform" into a battle ship...

Yeah. Or a titan transforming into a small space battle ship. If it did that they wouldn't have to worry about transporting it.

There's a guy on the WIP forums who's working on a transforming baneblade. its pretty involved though so its not yet super far along.
I've also seen an ork trukk modeled on the classic Optimus design.

I love the concept of transformers in 40k Eventually i plan to make a range of 40k transformers, one for each group if i can work out how to do them . 40k autobots Land raider- Optimus prime Rhino- Bumblebee Leman russ- Ironhide Exorcist- Wheeljack Hammerhead- Windcharger Fire prism- Skyfire 40k decepticons Monolith- Megatron Ork trukk, warbikes and buggies- Devastator Ork FightaBomma- Starscream Chaos defiler- Bonecrusher Ravager- Skywarp Some kind of tyranid but as they are all living creatures anyway i dont really know whether i should do it or not

The problem with anything that transforms (assuming we're going to inject even a tiny mote of common sense) is that it's going to be bigger and heavier than something that only did one of the jobs.
e.g. a titan that turns into a space ship is going to be heavier (and hence slower) than an equivalent spaceship that doesn't transform (because it's got legs, etc). Likewise, in titan mode it's going to have lots of space-ship parts that just add weight and bulk. Quite apart from the extra mechanical parts required to do the transforming.

Macross could do it, why can't Tau?
Everything basically transforms in that show including the "huge make those robots that make humans look like ants look like ants" battleships.
It carries roughly the same amount of stuff as the Mantra except thing of it as Crisis Suits instead of infantry.

Robot mode
And some concept art to show scale.

Or maybe it could be some power rangers thing. A land raider or two, a few preds, few rhinos and a couple of lands speeders could form up and make a megazord. and maybe it can use a thunderhawk as a jetpack.

Or something like this??

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Macross already does it and does it better. Nothing in 40k compares to either the SDF-1, the Macross Frontier, the Macross Galaxy, or even the Macross Quarter.

Nah, at least the first should be fine. From my above post the SDF-1.

Back in the day, when Adeptus Titanicus was on the shelves, I thought that Titans were Macross-scaled robots. I think it was the box-art and something about them being referred to as having crews.
