I really want to start playing a Space Wolves army now but I can't decide what to do. Currently I have no Space Wolves models so I'm starting from scratch. I don't know if I should start buying older models now or wait until October to start building my army. I'd hate to buy stuff now only to find it irrelevant and not going to do me any good. Can anyone out there please help me in my dilemma. What would you guys do?

You couldn't have picked a better time to go with Spehz Puppehz, the new codex comes out next month!
Just have a little patience and wait it out.
On the first of September you must follow these instructions:
1) Lurk outside your local GW,
2) Proceed to ambush the guy who opens up the store 3) Snatch the new dex and any SW models.
4) Kill anyone who gets in your way.

You could safely start collecting now, as we know that the major Space Wolves units will still exist, but there are two problems that could arise. Firstly, equipment options will probably change, so be careful with the special weapons. Secondly, they are all getting new models, so you may find the old ones you just bought are not `up to standard'. Considering it is only a month and a half away, you are probably better off just waiting a little, saving the cash aside, and buying up a head of battle forces on release day.

Do you think that they will be coming out with Space Wolves Battle Forces?

It wouldn't hurt to start collecting now, but i think if you do start collecting you should just buy a couple heavy armor slots that you know they will probably not make much of a change for in the new codex like a predator or landraider.

Errr, I'd wait on that too laugher, they are supposedly getting a new Assault-cannon varient land raider.

I would imagine there would be something like the dark Angels ravenwing boxset.

Or the range is full of upgrade packs like the Black Templar upgrade pack, so youd have to buy a spess mehrines battleforce and then upgrade it...

I have managed to get my hands on Tactical boxes, old SW Blood Claw boxes, numberous SM Bikers, Dev Squads, and as many of the oop plastic SW accessories as I can, as well as FW Terminator SW stuff.

ALL is unassembled and awaiting the codex.

I have a lot of the SW Metals, but don't know if they will all fit.. waiting and seeing on that one.

So, start collecting basic stuff right now that can be "SW"ed up with the extra bits.
