This might be an obviouse one, but I wanna get yer opinions. Suppose you are makeing your guard army air-mobile. What are the rules about exactly who can ride in a valkryie? I know everybody but ogryns can, but the problem I get is that once everyone is placed in a valkryie, I have platoon command squads with only 5 men in them that also need a lift. Since the valkryie holds 12 models, can I squeeze 2 platoon command squads in the same flyer? Or does this violate the rule about mixing units inside a vehicle? What about my snipers? I have 2, 5 man sniper squads that count as ratlings, can they rideshare or not? If not, what are some other options? I want most everybody to ride, but if I buy 3 squads of valkryies or vendettas, it's enough vehicles to haul everybody except my platoon command squads, do they hafta walk?

Yep they have to walk. Unless you buy another transport for them. I fly 7 Vendettas in an 1850 list with my 6 man command platoon in one. Enjoy.

Only one unit at a time may ride in a Valk - or indeed any transport.

Snipers probably dont need a lift

For reference, the rule for what a transport can hold is on page 66 of the rule book.

"A transport may carry a single infantry unit and/or any number of independent characters (as long as they count as infantry)."

The only time it can carry 2 Units is if one of those units is an Attached IC or if its a Unit made of Multiple IC's

THe only way to do it would be to merge some squads together per guard rules. However I think then you would be over the 12 man cap. You would have 15 unless you lost a few then yes.

Still not workable, only basic infantry squads merge, no command squads.
