So I'd like to incorporate my converted traitor guard (Blood Pact) into the new IG dex. Specifically into an air cav army. 7-9 Valks and Vendettas.

However, being a poor ass college student, there is NO WAY I can afford the models.

So I'm looking for ideas. Some kind of flying contraption that could be a suitable "counts as" vehicle. Pretty much nothing is too weird, as we are talking Chaos here. Hell, the Blood Pact novels had everything from warp creatures that could swallow an entire planet's water supply, to daemon-possessed scarecrows. So some kind of possessed/mutant machine is definitely a possibility. Though being completely mechanical is fine too, I can chaosify anything.

Preferably cost effective please. I bow to my fellow creative minds of the 40k world...

I should probably say, I need the model to be majoritarily scratch-built or majoritarily GW models in order for them to be tournament legal.

The last one has a tutorial at the bottom, but I'm afraid I am not adept enough at scratch building to pull this off. I'm fine with converting/scultping, but I'm not quite confident enough to do a scratch built model myself. The shape and sleakness of the first one is really nice. It's obviously a copy of the forgeworld model, but it looks damn good.

Anyone good with plasticard and such material? Or resign? Or even balsa for that matter? I wouldn't mind commissioning these for a reasonable price.

How about grabbing some pink foam and carving some long, hexagonal crystals out of it, and then assembling them as some kind of large, hovering, crystaline thing of flying doom? You could paint it all manner of weird colors, or just paint it gloss black with a tinge of green - like warpstone! Basically, a floating platform of weird crystal shapes of death!

OR you could make a blackstone fortress type thing - that is a simple shape, and would be pretty easy to make from foam. Make one about 1 ft across, and put doors etc. on the side. That would be pretty pimp, actually.

Why not just a flat plate / floating island type of thing then? You could pintle mount the weapons... something like a silver tower without the tower.
