I think that these will be the Rectifiers [spelling?]

I think I'll call this a WIP for now, as I would like to see some more details popping out and give him a more old world bronze feel. I think that a green on the trim would look appropriate if I used like a hawk torquise and camo green mix or something, just to approximate oxidization without suggesting that this chapter neglects its armour. Overall, pretty pleased so far, but as always Comments and Critisism are welcome. More pics are available and I'd be happy to share the recipe upon request.

I think you're right about the trim. Too monochromatic at the moment, needs more POW! Good start.

"Wot, This? Naw I've had this fer ages. Of course the paint's still wet, it's me favourite. Sell it to ya if you like. One Careful owner."

Any suggestions then? I tried red, and it didn't look right, and the oxidization looks ok, i guess, but I'm still not sure.

And I did try a few different things, but the sun's gone down so I'll wait for tommorow to post some new picks.

How about using a stronger gold on the trim to separate the colour from the great bronze you've done?

I'd try a bone/cream colored trim and see how that fits the bill. In my minds eye it looks pretty good.

Tried a few new things. I've include pictures of a gold trim and more metallic looking knee pad, which I am partial to. Also, there is an oblective marker I pumped out a while ago, not sure what the one bit is supposed to be though. The sheild is a test bed for a new, more opulent base colour I've been working on. And finally, as per scotty khan's suggestion, some bone detailing. You might notice a bit of oxidization has been added to a few spots where water might settle.

Alright, here's my two cents (it's all I've got left). Some highlighting would bring out, but barely a highlight, but my main pet peeve is the eagle and battle honors. those are the marks of accomplishments, and should stand out screaming "I'M A MARKSMAN #$&*%!'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the powerfists is mainly where I see this showing off that giant mechanical glove that inflicts pain on carnifex's.

To show rust can be done very simple and effective. First of for trim go witha dirty metal look like chain mail. Then with a small terrain brush use calthan brown and just smuck it on the area where you want it. Then with a small napkin or used rag just dump it on the wet brown. I used it on my AOBR orks and it was excellent.

Twin: I kind of like the way the aquila looks, but I think you are absolutely right about the other honours. I'll get to them.

Penut: The effect you highlighted is a good one, but as I posted earlier, I don't want it to look like this chapter would allow it's armour to fall under neglect.
