I know black orc armour should be painted black hence the name, but i saw some black orcs in a GW once and they were painted a crimsony-red colour i thought was scab red. This looks quite good but i dont know whether to paint mine this way or black. I quite like my armies to be a little bit different but im not sure how they will turn out. To make matters more complicated i want to include Grimgor for my lords choice when my army reaches 2000pts and i think he'll look wierd in scab red. Does any one have a view on this or even better pics of black orcs or Grimgor in scab red just to see how they look?

Ill flick through google for pics in a moment, but red armour on black orcs looks pretty good.
allthough i think the best way of getting a nice deep red would be:
Spray black
Paint scab red
brown ink wash the red
Scab red highlight
50/50 scab red and blood red highlight
fine blood red highlight
Should have a nice dark red that stands out well.
I actually use red as my metal colour for most orks/orcs now, since its different and looks good.
