oops. Should have made this clearer, but this is all in relation to the Rick Pitino scandal that's erupted this week.
In the long history of lame excuses, this might be the best.
When 9/11 hit, you needed a community to get you over it. In New York City, it was easy because everybody knew the devastation of that and they got each other over it. In Louisville, the impact wasn't felt like New York City, but I needed this community to help me get over it.

To paraphrase people who are funnier than I (which, is not a short list):
“I’m pretty sure that’s not the first time he’s stepped out on his wife. Generally, I wouldn’t think you’d choose the floor of a restaurant if this was the first time you were cheating on your wife. I think you’d be a little more discrete.”
“So, you decided to get over the death of your brother-in-law in 9/11 by….cheating on his sister?”
Best sign you could take to a Louisville game: “Mrs. Pitino, if you’re not over 9/11 either, give me a call.”
Restaurant Owner, “You had sex with this woman on the table of our restaurant!”
Rick, invoking the ghost of George Costanza, “Is that wrong?”
And, now, the woman is claiming that she thinks that Pitino got the strength coach to marry her, so that he could spy on her and try to keep the whole thing quiet.
You can’t write this stuff, it’s unbelievable.
I'm thinking of trying this out, but on a smaller scale. "Honey, I'm still not over 9/11, that's why I ordered that Warhound Titan from Forgeworld!"

Yeah, in my usual zeal and scattered mind, kinda forgot to mention this is all about Rick Pitino and his fling with a woman, not his wife, at an Italian restaurant and him, allegedly, giving her $3,000 for an abortion.
Seriously, you can't make this stuff up, it just gets more and more bizarre by the day.
But, kudos for the excuse. Some guys blame drink, or just deny it. But, nope, it was al qaeda that me cheat!

I think you'll find if you look on page 668 of the proposals that abortion will in fact be compulsory for all citizens.

Even the men?!?!? Ouch! It would be one way to reduce the US's carbon footprint, have a zero birthrate. Time to sell my Huggies and Gerber stocks and buy Depends stocks and prune futures!
I don't know that everyone needs to have an abortion. Quite a few need lobotomies though.

Especially the men.
It's part of the new "Tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime" idea. You'll note that very few dead people commit serious felonies of any nature, and it solves both the housing and energy crisis in one fell swoop. It also provides a healthy fiscal stimulus for the poor undertakers of the USA who suffer terribly with all your advances in that there fancy medicines and folk fixin'.
