If an IC has frag grenades does the squad he is attached to also count as having them?

Also, does a Black Templar Chaplain's cenobytes (wargear option) make up a retinue? He can't leave them and that's the definition of retinue given in BRB, but in the C: BT it says ICs do not stop being an IC when attached to a squad, though I'd say the cenobytes are more attached to him than he is to them if that makes sense. He and his cenobytes can join a different squad. It's very confusing and your help would be appreciated, thanks. - resolved

edit: whoops should have searched first, http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/216878.page#361017 says the cenobytes form a retinue so that's good.

Okay thanks. Are there any advantages of having an IC with grenades then attached to a squad without them?

Not for the squad ... but he always has the advantage of frags, so at least he will be striking at his initiative. Defensive grenades on the other had are good for every one in the squad.

The part where it says IC's don't stop being an IC refers to HQ's in Command Squads and is pretty specific to the BT I think.
