Hello Dakka!
If 1 Unit assaults 3 units and wins combat and all 3 target units dont make their LD test...there are one inititative+d6 throw for each target unit and ONE ini+d6 throw for the attacking unit, with which the three other throws are compared, right?

If the one unit wins, each of the 3 losing units must take a Morale Test. If even one of them passes, the victorious unit may not execute a sweeping advance as they will still be locked in combat with another unit (Page 40). If they all fail their Morale Test, you check for Sweeping Advance as normal, by rolling D6+I for each unit, and comparing the results. So yeah, one roll for the winning unit and compare to the result of all 3 units falling back.

Thanks for the quick answer. Having a vassal game right now and my opponent argues that the attacking unit takes THREE tests to compare to each of the three defenders test. This is wrong, if I'm right, but how to prove it?

The losing side takes negatives to their LD based on how much they lost by. So, if you have 2 units attacking 2 units in such a manner as all units are attacking all units then you apply the modifiers to all the units that lost.
So unit 1 and 2 attack unit A and B. unit 1 has models engaging both unit A and B and Unit 2 has models engaging both unit A and B (if the units are not engaging multiple units then its just unit on unit combat) Unit 1 inflicts a total of 3 casualties and Unit 2 inflicts 4 for a total of 7. Unit A inflicts 2 and Unit B inflicts 2 for a total of 4. So unit A and B lost the combat and both must take morale checks (or armor saves if they are fearless) at a -3 modifier.
So, in your case you have unit 1 engaging unit A and B say you do 6 unsaved wounds and unit A and B inflict 4 unsaved wounds. Unit 1 won the round of CC and unit A and B both must take seperate tests with a -2 modifier. You dont roll once for both units you roll for each unit and apply the same modifier.
hope it helps. Its actually less confusing than it sounds and makes it easy when you have 6-10 units all beating each other up you just calculate who won and by how much and apply the result to all of the units on the losing side, instead of trying to figure out who did what to whom and when. Same thing with special modifiers, if say Snikrot and his unit won a round against 2 units and won by 2 you would then apply snikrots modifier of -1 to the total and each unit would take a test modified by -3.

Thankfully so. I understand the rules and re-reading that summary confused me.
Not to imply I would write it more clearly.

Thanks for the reply gobsmaka, however, our problem wasn't the LD modifier, it was the case about the sweeping advance, where it was unclear if the one attacking unit takes THREE initative+d6 tests to compare with the defenders tests.
Postscriptum:
Our opponent called his own "rules lawyer" on vassal that stated he was right and we were wrong and then left. Now, after this assault phase, and after me and my teammate had given in to him and allowed him to roll three times, it was our next turn and we were ready to melta and powerfist his armour to death...and then he suddendly needed to go to the cinema. What a shame. So, now I have more time to elaborate the problem.
Now, on p.41 in the small rule book it is stated that each unit that is not bound in combat can try to advance sweepingly. "Compare the initiative roll of the advancing unit with the throw of every unit, with which it was in base contact and that is retreating."`(Retranslated from german)
This sounds quite clear to me. A singular roll by the lone advancing unit is compared to each of the several different initiative rolls of the retreating unit.
What are your thoughts, though?

Just updated my post above and elaborated the incident a bit more. I'm happy that so many people here agree with my opinion and my teammate's opinion. I fear our opponent was just a little bit of TFG.

Don't feel bad, I played this wrong once too. Just once though, and I was really drunk at the time.

So did you play wrong or did he play right by managing to slip it past you when you were finally drunk?
I'm thinking good on him/her for the strategy, lol
