Following the Advice from a thread i've read I wanted some people who are more famillar with the fluff to help me out with a few thing's.

Chemos the Homeworld of the EC was it destroyed i've read that it was just held and quarintined by the Inquisitors.

Do the EC have a set color scheme? I've seen them in the pink like on the kit box, but i've also seen them as in their Legion colors Purple and Gold.

Who ever won the fighting at Skalathrax? EC or the World Eater's?

Last Question, The EC cloned Horus. Could i say my Warband's leader was one of the guy's that came up with the idea to clone him?

Could he be the guy that went and did it?

The EC's homeworld is marked as destroyed in the usual chart in SM codices.
Lexi has it as bombed into death and quarantined. Could be a bare dead rock now.

Color scheme pre heresy is set. Maybe the main color isnt available ready to use and has to be mixed.
After the war the EC may have gone insane with their colors. The color scheme on the box would be a noise marine scheme.

Skalathrax? would bet WE won...

Since we dont have any given name, you may claim the cloning idea. But its sometimes wiser to not claim a place in settled fluff.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that it was Fabius Bile who attempted to clone Horus.

On the Codex i found nothing on Bile being in charge of that ill even double check, But i guess i won't take it that far.


I'm thinking of using Chemo's destruction as a a motive for vengeance.

Shadowbrand fought for behalf of his world and his brother's in arm's not the Emperor which really does add up.

He's just so ed up from Slannesh that killing other world's seem's just and of cource the Loyalist's are the "bad guy"

It just mentions that a group was trying to clone Horus. I was already planning on converting an Abaddon model into a "failed Clone of Horus" based on that fun little bit of fluff I say go for it. They put hooks like those in the books to play off of for a reason.

I wouldnt use Abaddon. According to the fluff he's not a "little Horus". Now of only we had a model of aximand, that would be so cool and Pre-horus conversion would be alot easier.

Are we sure Aximand didnt survive, apart from Abaddons thoughts at Lokens death, i see no reason why he would have died.

Speaking of that i wana make a Daemon Prince Fulgrim, for like apoc or something.

A daemon prince isnt really gonna do anything to a stompa as its only strength 6, but I cant think of anything Slaneesh off the top of my head to use.

hmm i saw one that was buffed with like str 9 or something, it was something a fellow fan made.

EC's have one true paint scheme (post heresy), the other schemes you see are player-made or interpretations of the colors (ie someone didnt have the proper pink and used purple).

If anyone won on Skalathrax it was Kharne, but not any one legion (they all lost heavily and when Kharne went insane it was because he had run out of enemies to fight and turned on his own brothers). After that battle there was no more joined World eaters legion, only warbands, so if you want to count it like that EC's won because they stayed together as a legion despite losing many. more info : http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Battle_of_Skalathrax

I also concur that Fabius Bile was likely the one that cloned Horus . He is all about genetic experiments and trying to create the perfect soldier. He saw Horus as the embodiment of the perfect warrior and wanted to make an army of him. Since it failed (Abaddon supposedly destroyed the clone and destroyed any last remnants of Horus's DNA) Fabius has been altering himself, slaves, and marines but no longer has the perfect genestock. Now that Fabius has left the EC to focus on his enhancement you could say that your warband leader is the EC's new cloning expert, but not the one who first cloned Horus.

Yeah, even if Fabius Bile isn't for sure the one who cloned Horus, he is most certainly the most likely candidate.

As for the leader of your army being the new cloning expert, I can think of a lot of really exciting fluff for that kind of situation. Sounds good.

Can i get away with wavy blue's and black, and silver?

Their is no rule stating you have to I have been told to paint my army a differant color for what it contains. but you can paint them what ever and still keep the special rules and every thing heck you could paint them lime green and orange and they still count so it dosent really matter

One of the most beautiful armies I ever saw was an EC army that was painted a deep purple with bone white and black for accents. Paint them however you like but I would try to keep pink/purple in the mix somewhere if you want people to recognize them as EC without being told. I'm doing a "purge" chapter army and they are traditionally a muddy green with black and I'm doing them as a more neon green (sort of a deep neon, if that makes sense). They "purge" hive worlds and neon evokes an image of neon city lights and the purge are both a part of that evil and a method of destroying it. May not make sense to anyone but me but there is the reason =p. My point is that changes to an armies basic colors can be a good way to make your army stand out and be more unique while still remaining a part of the fluff you enjoy.

I wouldn't say pink is required, no. (If you're doing a squad of Noise Marines, though, it might be a good idea to have them follow the traditional color scheme. They look pretty good like that.)

My army is primarily Liche Purple and Shadow Grey, with Warlock Purple edging. No pink at all!

My Blue Emperor's Misbehaving Children will bring the universe to it's knee's!!!
