Subject: An idea for making Carnifexes Fleet

I have noticed that keeping Fexes alive while walking across the board is somewhat difficult. My idea is to help them out by making them fleet. Now, this is where most people seem to disagree with the idea because Fexes are massive creatures and thought to be a slow and lumbering beast, but in my mind, they're like a stampede kind of creature. So here were the rules I think the newer Fexes could have (Hope this isn't posted in the wrong spot)
The carnifex can move the normal amount during the movement phase. During the shooting phase a player may elect a 'Brutal Charge' from its Carnifex, in essence, the beast lowers its head and charges forward toward an enemy unit. This is declared towards a specific unit that the player plans to engage, if the fex moves and is able to reach the unit that was 'Brutal Charged' then the fex gets an additional D3 attacks to represent the momentum that the Fex has gained. If the charge fails to reach a unit, the fex 'fizzles' out and cannot move in the next phase. If the charger rolls a 1 for the Brutal Charge roll then the Carnifex has possibly lost his direction. The charger rolls a scatter die next to the carnifex, this is the direction that the fex is diverted and he moves an entire 6" in that direction (Including into his own unit!) If the fex during this brutal charge runs into a unit, the unit is subject to a leadership test just as if being tank shocked.
I mean, these are kind of long rules but they could be fiddled with in the end... there would also be the option to not 'Brutal Charge' and instead just run, the charge would be reserved for when that player believed he was within range to drop the hammer. Anyway, what does anyone think? Stupid or doable?

If you play apoc you can use a behemoth crusher brood and they have fleet as part of the data sheet, plus they can have 2 sets of crusher claws for 2d6 base attacks. But that is apoc.

Neat, but more complication. And quite frankly, Nidzilla doesn't need to have the ability to be more effective.

I've always thought that tying fleet to the "Tusked" biomorph made the most sense, just increase the point cost.

My Summoned Greater Daemon isn't Fleet, so no. Neither are the Avatar, Wrathlords, or the Star gods, so also no. Nidzilla is quite good enough already

Fleet implies a good strength to weight ratio. The ability to bound across the battlefield should be reserved for lithe creatures. Now a 'Fex with ST and maybe adrenal glands, I could see being fleet. However, a Carnifex has always been a big, lumbering beast, sort of a living tank.

hmm this is an interesting concept id imagine the carni sticking it's head down (like a bull and cahrgeing you might be able to debate by saying you choose the target and he charges that way for X inches and cant turn at all so the enemy has a chance to dodge
I dunno this is just my idea it me used as a cheater tactic to move the carni super fast

The Carnifex was not designed with fleet in mind for it. I believe simply adding fleet to a model not balanced for the rule is unfair.
Your rule is an interesting concept and could be a house rule between friends.
Certain Carnifexes are already high priority targets (hence your want of fleet) but in all seriousness giving them fleet would merely defeat the purpose moving them up on the target priority list thus causing death more quickly
