Picked up my Red Blok army box set last night, very nice. A nice touch is that you get an AT43 quick rule book & Red Blok cut down rule book, plus they include it in 4 other languages. At £60 this is impressive, especially as the Dotch Yaga retails for about £45 and a 6 figure box set is about £15. Looking forward to rebuilding my Red Blok army

How much would it cost for a relatively large playable force in AT-43? I have never really thought about getting into it because of the lack of a player base.

It would appear in the UK that it's doing well, ther is a national competition going on in November I think. For your money you get a 2000 point army, ready to go. The force set up is:

• 1 unit of 12 Krasnye Soldaty: regular infantry containing three grenade launchers,
two medics and an officer
• 1 unit of 8 Krasnye Soldaty: regular infantry containing one grenade launcher,
two mechanics and an officer
• 6 Dragonov Kommandos: elite infantry with one sniper rifle,
an electronic warfare specialist, a medic and an officer
• Odin O-1 and Manon O-2: the Red Blok’s two greatest heroes
• 1 Urod: Odin O-1’s and Manon O-2’s combat strider
• 1 Dotch Yaga: the most heavily armored combat strider to ever grace the battlefield

Cost break down:

• 1 unit of 12 Krasnye Soldaty: regular infantry containing three grenade launchers,
two medics and an officer: Main boxset, 6 figures, £20, attachment boxset: £19

• 1 unit of 8 Krasnye Soldaty: regular infantry containing one grenade launcher,

For an out lay of £120 (less if you can get it with discount) you can buy 2 different force boxes so you can try and get others involved.
