A friend of mine recently found a new store that opened up in town that is going balls to the wall with forgeworld, GW, and all other games you can think of! He just got his tables in this weekend and we all got to play on GW tables! It was a BLAST, and yea..I forgot my camera..

I won the roll off and choose to go first.

Turn 1
Space Marines
I moved my Dreadnaught up closer to his deployed Rhino(pretty much in the center of the table). I then move my 10 Man Unit of Space Marines along side the Left Flank of Dreadnaught. I rolled a D6 to get my CM up into a building and my Razorback stayed put! After all that I unleash some Lascannon fire with my Dreadnaught into the Front End of his Rhino, hit, pen, then roll a 2, bleeeh. So the only thing else in range at this time is the Lascannon off the Razorback, its slightly off to the Rhino's right flank but not enough for a RA shot. Rolled horrible and nothing happened. No assault.

Chaos Space Marines
He unloads his group of 10 Plague Marines accompanied by his Champion out of the Rhino, pretty much surrounding the whole Rhino, kinda splitting the unit in half as far as shooting and being in cover(which hurts him later on). His 5 man Chaos Marines w/ Aspiring Champion move around to my right flank, closer to my Chapter Master then anyone else. Defiler stays WAY in the back. The only thing he has to shoot is the Defiler & Havoc Launcher on the Rhino, he rings out a blast with the Battlecannon at my 10 man Unit, which are in cover..THANK GOD. He ends up getting 4 wounds and I SAVE all 4!! Misses with Havoc Launcher. No assault.

Turn 2
Space Marines
I leave my CM where he is so he can unleash his Orbital Bombardment, Move the Dreadnaught up another 6" and leave my 10 man unit stationary as well as my Razorback. Itching to fire off my Orbital Bombardment thats the first thing I go for, I miss BADLY way off onto a open space of nothing. Then I try my luck with the Lascannon off of the Razorback, ! WTF, now I try my Lascannon from the Dreadnaught, at this time I am firing through cover so he gets a save..that he makes, fail again. Shoot my missile launcher with no success as well. No assault.

Chaos Space Marines
He starts out by moving his 5 man unit closer to my Chapter Master, then he accompanies them with the Rhino. 10 man unit remains stationary as well as the Defiler. He goes to his trusty Battlecannon again off the Defiler..MISS! He's almost within range of my Chapter Master with his 5 man squad, but isn't, all miss. No assault.

Turn 3
Space Marines
Razorback tears off to seek some cover and to unload my 5 man unit of SM. Dreadnaught moves in a little closer to his 10 man unit of plaguemarines as well as my 10 man unit of Space Marines. I roll to see if my Chapter Master can hop down to lay down the Powerfist onto his Rhino. Great success. Dreadnaught kicks off the shooting phase with a pointblank lascannon shot that misses, then I smother half of his squad with my Heavy Flamer from the Dreadnaught and kill 2 of his guys. Then I fire my Razorback and 5 man unit at the same squad, lascannon hits and he saves, Bolters hit like 3-4 and 2 die. Assault, My Chapter Master charges his Rhino, hit, pen and roll a freaking 2. Dreadnaught charges the split up Plaguemarines and crushes 3 guys, he only has grenade attacks and fails to hit.

Chaos Space Marines
His Rhino stays put as well as his Defiler, 10 man unit is locked in melee and the 5 man unit get ready to unleash a follie of fire at my Chapter Master. He chooses to fire his Defiler Battlecannon at my 5 man unit that is not in cover. Scatter dice hate him this round and he misses. He checks to see if another weapons is in range and is, (which lets me know my weapon is in range also). Miss again. So now he gets to rapid fire my Chapter Master with his 5 man unit, he rolls well and I've got 5 wounds to save, all save except 2! CM down to 1 wound. Assault, I kill off some more of his plague marines and he fails to hit me with 1x Meltabomb and a couple grenade attacks.

Turn 4
Space Marines
I run my 5 man unit closer to the battle thats going on in the middle (dreadnaught vs plaguemarines). Run my Chapter Master that way as well. 10 man Units stays in place to cut down anyone that tries to jump in on the fight, and the Razorback stays in place. Non shalauntly I fire my Lascannon from the Razorback at his Defiler..hit, pen, WRECKED! Assault, I run my Chapter Master into the fight with the Plaguemarines, going Base to Base with the Champion. I think he had two other guys attack with his Champion against my CM. He attacks first..He wounds me and i save, then I unleash my attacks and kill all 3 of his guys. Dreadnaught kills another guy.

At this point..his morale is in the trash and he pretty much concedes, which was dumb because he coulda did more dmg to me..I only ended up wiping out 1 unit *his defiler*. Anyway..sorry if any of this was unclear and that it didn't include a more indepth description such as morale checks and so on. Hope you guys enjoyed.

Does his rhino have Demonic possession because if not it could do nothing his first turn

I'm not even sure man. It was a friendly game and we may have had some hiccups but as far as we both know and another guy that has been playing for a while now, everything was legit. My Army was WysiWyg and his wasn't but its no biggie..We just had fun playing on the super nice tables.

I tried to remember everything excactly as it happened and not having my camera does not help!

Sounds like you weren't so lucky with lascannons, except for that last razorback shot.

Thanks! Yea I wasn't really doing good at all with the Lascannon's! I just checked up on the "Demonic possession" ability and he was not using it.

Brilliant battle report and ummmm who won (ha ha) Its just I didnt get who won anyway a great battle report and for the Emporer!
(My guess is that Space Marines won) =]
